A Dish Best Served Cold

Flash from the past Part 1

Two years ago....

" Cole and Maddison come eat breakfast we have 15 minutes till we have to leave for school! " I then rush out of the shower and put on my pre planed outfit. Knowing that when my mom says something she means it. As I get ready to head out the door my mom quickly shoves a bagel into my hand and then closes the door behind my brother and I. Luckily our middle school isn't that far away so the walk is quick.

First period goes by fast and afterwards I have break which I go and hang out with my friends. When I reach My friend Mak she's having a conversation about what were doing in PE with my friend Megan. We have all been friends since preschool and all play on the same soccer team.

" Madison! Guess what, I saw the seating arrangements for social studies and you and Kyle are sitting next to each other! " says Megan

I then roll my eyes " maybe I shouldn't of told you guys that I had a crush on him... " I said.

" Well it was bound to happen some time because you too are super cute together. " says Mak.

Just as she said that Kyle walked past with his group of friends. They both punched me and pointed making everything extremely obvious.

Sometimes I think I actually have a chance with a guy but then realize that we're not magically going to get together. In almost every movie that's how it happens, and I used to think that I could be able to have it that way but then realized that instead of waiting for him to make the first move I'm going to have to get up and stop wishing for something to happen and make it happen. Which sounds easier then it actually is. So instead of waiting for the perfect moment I'm going to actually try to get to know him.

" Sooo when are you guys going to get together? " sad Megan

" What? It doesn't happen that easily." I said

Then my brother Cole came out of nowhere and said " what doesn't happen that easily? "

" Cole? What are you doing here? " I said

" I go to school here... And I'm putting up signs for my lost stapler. " He said

" we're talking about Madi and Kyle..." Says Mak letting the news out.

" Mak, you wernt supposed to tell him..." I was saying then Cole interiors me a said.

" Ooh you like Kyle guess I have to go tell him then. "

" What nooo stop don't. " I said

" Ok ok I won't tell. " then he walked away.

" uh, Mak why did you tell him that you know there like best friends. " I said

" Sorry it came out. "

" it's fine I had no chance anyway. " I said then the bell rang. I have social studies next and if Cole already told him then this is going to be very okward.

Once I walked into the class room sure thing I was next to Kyle but he looked fine so I was good for now. I was too focused on my seat so I tripped over the cheap worn down carpet in the walkway. Luckily he didn't see. The period continued on and our teacher talked the whole time so I couldn't say anything to Kyle.

" Ok students now get out your notebook and a pencil and start writing your report on Ben Franklin. " our teacher said.

I got out my stuff and was trying to open my zip up pencil case and it got stuck so my arm went flying up and hit Kyle in the nose really hard. Then his nose started to bleed. He yelped and grabbed his nose. I then started to apologize but couldn't help but laugh, to stop my self from embarrassing myself even more I got up and ran to get some tissues. When I got back Kyle was sami laughing and crying at the same time. I felt so bad but started laughing myself.

" Kyle and Madison enough both go the the office to stop the bleeding. Your both disrupting the class. " said our teacher.

We both said sorry and left the class then in the way out I tripped over the worn carpet again knocked over Kyle and made him get blood all over the floor. I emeditily gasped.

" I'm so sorry I don't knew what's wrong with me today. " I said, I felt so bad.

" it's ok I'm fine" he said laughing.

If I didn't have a chance then, then I defiantly don't have a chance now. It took us 10 minutes to clean up the blood and then we had to stay after the period and miss our next period make his nose bleed stop. We both had Language arts next and we both got to skip it. Who knew that a nose bleed would take 45 minutes to make it stop.

" You missed so much in LA today mrs. C gave us donuts. " said Megan.

" Did that really happen? " I said.

" No I just tried to get back at you for skipping class. It was as boring as ever. " Megan said as she put down her lunch.

" hey I rather be in class I embarrassed myself so much. " I said

" do you guys want to go play some soccer at the blacktop? " Says Mak.

" Sure" we both said

We were practicing bicycle kicks and we where all really bad at it. Then all of a sudden some random freshman ran into me when I was kicking and made me hit the ball really hard and up high it was going supper fast and I tried to warn the big crowd but I wasn't quick enough the kid knocked me on the ground so I couldn't warn anyone. Then the soccer ball came down extremely fast and hit a kid in the head. When I fell I twisted my ankle so I couldn't get up to see who it was. Why was I hurting so many people today? I then blackout not being able to see anything. I can hear my fiends comforting me saying that I'm going to be ok. The pain in my leg hurt so bad. I would try to get up but the nurse would push me down. I then woke up in the office with the nurse next to me.

Hey peoplez! I wanted to have a flashback thing to help you guys get to know Madison a little more and tell you how they got together. I'll continues the present story in a couple of chapters!
