"Dad." Carl inquired walking into his parents room.

"Yes son?" Rick asked eyeing the boy, his blue eyes checking him over worried he got hurt. Carl was a typical alpha pup, always into something or making attempts to be big and strong.

"Can I have some money?" The pup asked sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Why?" The alpha asked his son curiously. "Didn't mom give you your allowance already for the month?"

"Yes." Carl replied with a smile. "But it's not enough."

"What are you trying to purchase pup?"

"Well moms birthday is coming up and I wanted to get him something special. I always make cards or make breakfast with you but I wanted to do something more. I'm thirteen now, I've got to do something more than hand made stuff and pancakes."

"Mom loves your cards."

"I'll still make a card but I want to do more."

"What were you wanting to get for him?"

Carl rubbed his arm up and down. "New arrows for his crossbow."

Rick couldn't help but smile. "Tell you what, you and I can go in on ten together."

"Really?!" Carl jumped up and down in excitement.

"Yes call your uncle, let him know so he doesn't buy the same." Rick suggested.

"Alright!" The pup ran off a spring in his step. "Uncle Merle uncle Merle."

"Whoa kiddo what's up?"' Merle asked as he looked at the two women at his sides, this call better for fast he thought.

"Dad and I are going to buy mom new arrows for his birthday so don't buy him any." The pup informed him.

"Damn is my puppy brother already coming to another birthday?" He chucked. "Alright no bolts. Tell Daryl I say hi alright?"

The two women smirked at one another waiting for the call to end. "Okay bye uncle!"

"Buy pup." Merle rolled his eyes, damn did he love that pup. When Daryl had told him he was going to be an uncle he changed his life in a few ways. Didn't drink as much, stopped selling drugs, only took one every once in a while now, hardly smoked.

Daryl trudged inside after a long day at the bike shop, his shoulders burned and the omega was feeling withdrawals from his family. As he stepped inside his pup came running to him. "Hey puppy." The omega smiled holding him close. "Where's dad?"

"He's in your room," Carl smiled holding him. "Guess what?"

"What Carl?

"You're birthday is in a week."

The omega smirked. "I guess it is isn't it, well yours won't be long after."

"But it's almost yours, that's the important one." Carl nuzzled his mother. They scented for a moment when Rick stepped in.

"How was work 'Mega?" Rick asked with a smile. Daryl chuckled.

"Fixed about six bikes up. Motercycles aren't built like they used to be."

Rick smirked, they sat down for dinner and headed to bed. The next week went by quickly, Rick and Daryl working, Carl going to school. It always felt busy.

Daryl woke up that morning to the familiar smell of his birthday breakfast. He adored them if he was being honest, he couldn't ask for more. He padded out to the kitchen to see Rick and Carl happily making the breakfast.

"Morning momma!" Carl chirped. "Happy birthday!!!"

Daryl couldn't help but smile as he stepped into the kitchen. Rick gave him a soft kiss. "Happy birthday love."

Daryl blushed. "Thank you. Both of you."

They sat down to eat the breakfast that was made for him, they put a candle in Daryls pancake. It was tradition for them.

He blew it out and Carl bounced excitedly. "What did you wish for?"

"If I tell you it won't come true." Carl replied kissing his pups forehead.

He had wished for this to never ends for them to always be a happy family. Omega, Alpha, and their pup, maybe add another one to the family eventually.

They sat together talking happily, "I have gifts." Carl raced off and returned with his card. Daryl smiled opening it, he loved the handmade gifts Carl made. "Dad and I have a special one."

"A special gift?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

Rick smiled opening the closet and giving Daryl a large box. "This better not be a dog." Daryl muttered. They had talked about getting one when Carl turned 15 no sooner.

"Not a dog 'mega." Rick promised.

Daryl ripped the wrapping paper off and opened the box. His eyes grew wide in surprise, "you didn't."

"You needed more." Carl said with a smile.

"It was his idea."

"Really puppy?" Daryl asked as he looked over the arrows. "These are amazing."

"I wanted to do it myself but I spent to much on comics last allowance so dad let me get it with him."

Daryl smiled. "This was a real big thing you did. I love you both. I would have been happy with the card and breakfast."

"We do that every year mom." Carl rolled his eyes.

"And every year I love it just as much." Daryl kissed his pups forehead and his mate. "Thank you both."

The little family smiled and laughed as Daryl looked over the arrows. He just hoped to continue being this happy.
