It's mirabel's 16th birthday and y/n comes to visit!

~nobody's POV~
Mirabel sits in her room, it's currently 9:32pm on the night. He promised he'd be here. You see, y/n said he'd be coming over at 5pm, but he still hasn't showed? It upset her.

Mirabel was tearing up at the thought that something had happened to him, he was never late, Never mind 4 and a half hours!

~y/n's POV~
I was running. Running as fast as I can, I am SO LATE. And It's absolutely pissing it down! Pepa must be angry that i upset mirabel on her birthday..I'm such an idiot sometimes!

I was still running to casa madrigal, it was pitch black and I couldn't see where I was going, my h/c hair getting absolutely soaked in the rain, trying to cover the small bag I had in my hand with my jacket, I'm definitely getting a cold...

~after 10 more minutes of running~

~y/n's POV~

i FINALLY got to casa madrigal, i was still soaked, I was actually shaking and coughing at how cold it was, I was already upset about what happened earlier with Remus..AND with me being late..but anyway I knocked the door and after about a full minute of standing in the rain, waiting anxiously, the door opened.

"Hey y/n..your late." Pepa opened the door, she was thundering, but smiling? It looked a bit fake..

"Mrs. Madrigal! I am so sorry I'm late, there was this thing with this person and it all went horribly, I really tried getting here as fast as I could!" I spoke quickly, coughing and shaking in between words. "Oh! Well come in dear, it's freezing outside! Do you have a cold? I'll get Julieta if you'd like?" She spoke happily, clouds clearing "oh no, mrs. Madrigal! It's no bother really! I'm just here to see Mira..?" I said hopefully. "Mirabel is upstairs in the nursery! I-..What is in that bag?" She said, pointing to the small, red bag I was holding. "Oh! just a present for mirabel." She nodded and let me upstairs into the nursery

~mirabel's POV~

I was trying to sleep, just wanting the day to be over when I suddenly heard a knock at the door. I didn't have the energy to answer, it was probably just isabela or something. So I just yelled out, clearly angry "who is it?!"

~y/n's POV~

I flinched at the tone "Who is it?!" Is all I heard. I took a deep breath and replied "hey I-it's y/n-" I cringed at all my voice cracks and stuttering, they showed I was nervous and upset.
I stood still for a full two minutes getting even more upset by the second thinking mira would ignore me, almost tearing in up. I was so incredibly disappointed in myself..But When I looked down, then the door opened.

I looked up quickly, seeing mirabel's teary eyes and looked back down immediately, shifting my feet and rocking slightly, scared of what she was going to say. "Hey Mira..uh-" I looked up, but not at mirabel. I knew I looked stupid anyways, so I just sucked it up and smiled. "Happy birthday..!" I held up the bag with tears in my eyes, thinking I was a terrible boyfriend. I was expecting a simple 'thanks' or 'oh nice' or even nothing, but I was slapped back into reality when I felt a pair or arms wrap around me.

~mirabel's POV~

I wrapped my arms around him, smiling like a god damn idiot. I was so happy, but I was still confused. "Hey!..How come you were late?" I spoke hopefully, taking the bag and shuttng the door behind us. "I ran into Remus." He said quietly, sitting on my bed. "Oh, I'm so sorry, are you okay?" I asked him "I'm alright now, this day is about you! Not me and that shitface. Open your gift!" He smiled excitedly.
I smiled back and slowly started unwrapping the gift. It was a thin, long black box. I looked at him confused, but he just smirked. I opened the box and it was a beautiful, silver necklace with a small butterfly on it, tiny diamonds engraved into the wings, it was gorgeous.

I thanked him for it and spent a bit more time with him. Some time after 11pm we went to bed, he'd already fell asleep, seeing how tired he was. I was just thinking about how he afforded that amazing piece of jewellery when I remembered how he'd been to busy to come over for the past few weeks since he'd been doing jobs and extra work.

He's the best boyfriend ever.
