How It All Started

October 29, 2014.

Lily's Pov (Main Character)

"Why is everyone crowding at the door?" I asked my friend as we sat at our usual table during lunch.

"Lily where have you been, Romeo Beckham and his brothers are transferring to our school this week remember?" My friend Bella replied.

"I never knew this why didn't you tell me earlier?!" I groaned.

"Well you better act natural because he's making his way towards our table." Bella motioned for me to stay calm.

"Hi I'm Romeo, I didn't catch your name." He smiled.

"Of course where are my manners, I'm Lily but my friends call me Lil." I replied politely.

Somebody pinch me it's actually him. I was just watching his charity football match with Brooklyn on the telly the other day. Now here Romeo is, standing right in front of me.

Having Romeo here was so much fun. But I noticed a lot of girls in my grade were crowding around him asking for pictures and autographs. I was his tour guide today, seeing as we have the same class schedule.

He didn't seem to mind the attention and was kind to everyone. I introduced him to the rest of my friends and he seemed comfortable, very outgoing this one. After a long day of school Romeo asked if we could walk home together.

"But you don't know where I live." I pointed out, confused as we both walked out of our last class after the bell rang.

"I forgot to mention that my mum called me earlier saying that she met the Thompson's today who happen to live next door to us, Lily Thompson." He smirked.

Well then.

"How did you know my last name?" I asked him curiously, knowing that subject never came up in any of our conversations.

"The teacher called out your full name during attendance." He explained.

"Oh right!" I laughed.

"Don't worry Lily I'm not a stalker or anything." Romeo said catching on.

"Of course you're not I was just–" I started to freak out but thankfully he cut me off.

"It's fine I'm not offended." He said giving me a reassuring smile.

"Thanks." I sighed in relief as we kept walking along the sidewalk until we made it to our street.

We started to walk towards Romeo's house and before I knew it we were in his front yard.

He invited me inside and as we entered his house I saw the Beckham family. They all turned around to see us standing at the door. I was nervous at first but then they all greeted me with welcoming smiles.

I smiled back and Victoria, Romeo's mum looked at me almost as if she was observing me.

"You're very pretty sweetie what's your name?" She asked.

"Thank you and my name is Lily Thompson, I'm Romeo's classmate." I smiled politely.

"That's right you're our neighbor! It's a pleasure to meet you Lily. I'm Victoria, this is David, Brooklyn, Cruz, and Harper Beckham." She smiled, introducing the rest of her family.

"It's very nice to meet you all." I greeted.

"Lily love can I talk to you a minute?" Victoria asked as she lead me into the kitchen.
