Chapter 7: Travel

-Kara pov-
The past few days have been great! Relaxation has been such a blessing! The family has out done themselves! We really need to do something special for them all soon.

"So I needed to talk with you Kara" I look up to see everyone frowning "It is why Alex is not here"

"What happened Kelly?" She looks away and I stand up "Kelly what happened to her?"

"There is a speedster that is after Barry" I look at Kate who pulls up a holographic picture "He goes by Godspeed..Alex defends Thawne and Barry so they could escape"

"What happened to my sister!" Mom steps forward with tears in her eyes "Answer me please"

"Last night it was just a broken spine" Mom holds out Alex's watch to me "He apparently came and finished the job as a sign we caught onto him"

"No she is not dead" I speed out of the loft and take off running "You can not die on me Alex! You will not die on me!"

"Taking out the strong man" I stop and see Alex on the ground below someone "Kryptonite weakens yo~"

"GET AWAY FROM HER!" I shoot laser eyes that he quickly dodges "YOU WILL NOT KILL HER!"

"You supers are annoying but I did not know nudist as well" He speeds and punches me backwards "I shall take you out with her"

"That is where you are mistaken" John floats down in his suit with Kelly "You have upset the league"

The man turns his head toward me "You all are not who I want" He tosses the kryptonite at me "But a sign is still a sign"

"NO!" Barry pushes him away and looks at me "Something changed! You changed time! You can not just do that Supergirl!"

"I do not have time for this!" He is about to attack us but grabs his chest "I will return!"

He takes off and I look over at Alex. My sister is alive now. I look at Barry who does not look happy. I sigh and then cover myself up.

"No looking!" The guys turn and I use Alex's watch "How am I smaller than her!"

"Loose is better than nude" Alex staggers up and over to me "Now what is this about changing time?"

"You died" I look at Barry who shakes his head "I had to save her!"

"You need to go back to your time" Barry sighs and shakes his head "I just pray something is not wrong"

"I do too" I take off and soon am back in the loft "Hello?"

"You time traveled!" Lena smacks me in the back of the head "How stupid can you be?!"

"I needed to make sure my niece has her mom and our twins have their aunt" I look at the confused faces "What?"

"We do not have twins Kara" I look at Lena confused "We have triplets Kara...we only had twins in the other one? How did saving Alex mess it up?"

"One thing changes a lot" We all turn toward a blindfolded Barry with Caitlyn "Her changing a death has somehow changed the twins...now you have Lily, Elizabeth, and Drea"

"What else changed?" I see Kelly still has a ring "Alex?"

"Still engaged and we are talking about getting married soon" Kelly smiles "I can finally do the other dress color!"

"Where is Jess and Sam?" Everyone frowns again "What?"

"Jess took and job in metropolis" Lena sighs and kicks at imaginary dust "She moved with Ruby and Sam too...they left a week ago"

"So who is watching our girls?" Caitlyn raises her hand and I see a flash on it "You two?"

"I see this was not a thing" I nod and Caitlyn smiles "I can show the photos later! Go back to your honeymoon!"

"Still nude resort?" They nod and I take a deep breath "At least something is the same"

"If you ever change time again!" Alex points her gun at me "I will find a way for this to hurt!"

"I am just happy you are alive" I hug her tightly "Never sacrifice yourself again ok? We all need you"

"Alright" Alex hugs me "I will not do it again"

"Good" I pull back and look at everyone "Let's get back to relaxing"

"Actually we need your help" I look at Caitlyn confused "Godspeed has taken The speed force of Wally, Nora, Bart, Thawne, Jay, and Angela"

"So Barry is the last one" She nods and I look at Lena "I have to go do this"

"Why?" She motions to the others "They have powers! This is our honeymoon you already left once to mess with time! Why can you not just stay here? Relax with me and let them do it"

"Because I am a hero" she roll her eyes and I scoff "You knew this when you married me! You knew what you were getting!"

"I thought I was getting my wife!" Lena holds up her arm with the bracelet on it "The triplets and I have been wearing it! We can be normal and live longer! Why are we doing this?"

"You sound like Reign" Lena scoffs now and crosses her arms "You think it is better to take what we want? All of those people need me! They need us! They need help cause of the bad guys!"

"BAD GUYS YOU ALL KEEP MAKING!" I tilt my head in confusion "Thawne was made from jealousy of Barry, Lex hated Clark because of powers he could not have, Mom hated Aliens because of the same, people experimented because they wanted to be the next best thing! Crime evolved to stop you all! Darkseid is dead...after this Brainiac guy who is next? You have taken them all out...if you step away the crime goes away too"

I look at Alex and then Caitlyn "Is what she saying all true?" They both nod reluctantly "We stop Godspeed and we go hunt brainiac down...then we do a final sweep"

"Gotham was corrupt before all of this" Kate shakes her head "I will have to stay active"

"But she will not" I look at lena who shakes her head "You know we have had peace! The crime is down minus this Godspeed guy! You hunt brainiac and then no more...please"

"If it gets too bad I help" Lena sighs and reluctantly nods "First big fight"

"Go get Godspeed" She smiles at me "I assume you already have a plan along with the two brains over there and here"

"He can be overloaded" I look at Caitlyn "I will distract him while we get Barry ready"

"Sounds like a plan" Barry gives a thumbs up to the wall "This is no one isn't it"

"Let's get you out" Caitlyn turns into frost "This is going to be a long fight"

"Guess you could say she is biPOLAR" Alex looks so proud and I look at the others "Is that how I sound?"

"I was so proud of that one" Alex pouts "I thought it was ice"

I sigh and zoom for my suit. Time to go distract a speedy guy.

-Time skip-
I get slammed into a wall again. This son of a bitch is wrecking me. I look to see Caitlyn is laying on the ground hurt. I try to fight but he holds me to the wall.

"Where is he?" His voice sounds so terrible "I need his speed! Let me have his speed!"

"Hey let her go!" Barry walks over and takes off his cowl "Take the speed"

"Smart" He lets me go and starts taking the speed force "What is happening?"

"You have taken too much" I grab his arms and hold him still "Freeze him!"

Caitlyn helps me trap him to the ground. Godspeed starts glowing yellow and multi-colors. I grab Caitlyn and fly us out. When we get away there is a huge explosion as lightning flies out.

I bring us back down when it is safe. We look around and see Barry alone. There is only the suit of the other guy. I look at Barry who shakes his head.

This is another loss for the greater good. Up next, we try to find brainiac. Up next, we get closer to my normal life. We get a step closer to peace and quiet.

The idea has never seemed so good.
