Takes place 3 and a half years after the final battle ^^

Rapunzel groaned as she flopped onto her bed. "Who knew being a princess was so hard."

"Just about everyone Raps," Cassandra responded as she leaned against the wall, her arms crossed.

Rapunzel huffed. "I would've appreciated a little heads-up once I got here."

"I tried to tell you that being an authority figure wasn't all fun and games, but you didn't listen."

Rapunzel groaned and hid her face in her pillow. Cassandra moved to sit on the edge of the bed as Rapunzel flopped onto her back, staring up at the ceiling with tired eyes. "It wasn't this hard back then."

"Well, you were also younger and people didn't expect much of you then."

"It was also easier considering I had a good lady-in-waiting. I still have no clue how you kept track of everything WHILE looking after me to make sure I didn't do anything stupid."

Cassandra chuckled and moved to lay beside Rapunzel as Rapunzel scooted over to make room for her. "It wasn't easy, believe me. I had to remind myself daily to keep my temper in check so I wouldn't be sent to the dungeon or be sent to a convent."

Rapunzel turned her head towards her. "You know I wouldn't have let that happen. I basically claimed you as my 'best friend' from day one; whether you felt the same or not."

Cassandra laughed as she turned to look at Rapunzel as well. "That was your first mistake. Now you're stuck with me, forever."

Rapunzel also laughed. "Is that really such a bad thing? Besides, you're the one that eventually finally agreed to be my friend, so who's stuck with who now?"

"Guess we both have to suffer the consequences then." Cassandra grinned. It took a matter of ten seconds before both women burst out into laughter.

After calming down a bit, Rapunzel smiled as she brushed a strand of hair out of Cassandra's face. "I missed you, you know. Things aren't the same without you around anymore. I even miss the banter you and Eugene use to get into and frankly, I think he does too. Sometimes I wish you could say something like you always did just to get him to shut up." Rapunzel groaned in annoyance.

Cassandra shook her head and chuckled. "I missed you too, Raps. But you, missy, need to learn to have a backbone." She poked the girl's side.

"I can be mean if I want too!"

"Sure you can."

"I can!"

"Alright, then, say something mean to me."

"Right now?" Rapunzel asked while tilting her head.

"Yes, right now."

"Uhh.." Rapunzel thought for a moment before continuing. "You're mean!"

"Oh, I'm so hurt." Cassandra said sarcastically and rolled her eyes. "Try again."

"Uhm.. you're... a bad friend?"

"Mhm, you and I both know you don't believe that. Go with the truth this time."

"....You're a pessimist?"

Cassandra groaned. "Come on Raps, you're not even trying."

"I am!" Rapunzel defended herself. "But how can I say something 'mean' when I don't believe it??? I can't be mean to someone I'm friends with, especially not my best friend! That's pretty much all of Corona!"

"Hmm.." Cassandra thought for a second before her eyes lit up with mischievous intent. "So, how's Monty, Raps?"

Rapunzel groaned. "Oh, don't get me started! When he's not insulting everything I do, or pretty much bullying me, he's criticizing me about his 'concerns' in the meeting room! And he doesn't leave anything out either. And the most annoying thing about it is that he knows I am not allowed to move or share my opinion until he leaves! Ugh! He's SOOO annoying! Of all the insufferable, arrogant, egotistical, atrocious, condescending, conceited, inconsiderate, devious, emphatic, excruciatingly annoying, fulminate, demoralizing, delusional, little- wait a second." Rapunzel stopped and narrowed her eyes at the smirking Cassandra. "You played me, that isn't fair."

Cassandra laughed. "I sure did! I didn't know you knew so many negative words!" She laughed again.

Rapunzel huffed cutely. "That wasn't funny."

Cassandra chuckled and rolled her eyes. "You really do not like Monty, do you?"

"He's insufferable."

"Wow, Princess Rapunzel, coming up with negative names about someone?" She made an exaggerated gasp. "Who are you?"

"Cass!" Rapunzel reprimanded but a humorous smile betrayed her as it appeared on her face.

Cassandra gently punched her arm. "Oh come on, you know I'm right."

Rapunzel rolled her eyes. "Sure, sure."

"So you admit, hm?"

"Admit what?"

"That I'm right."

"Nope," Rapunzel smirked. "Never."

"Oh-ho, is that right, princess?"

Rapunzel crossed her arms over her chest. "Yes."

"What if I.." Cassandra smirked then launched forward, pinned her to the bed and started tickling the hell out of her. "..Did this!"

Rapunzel immediately burst out into laughter. "Cass!" She wheezed then turned while trying to push her best friend off. "Stop, I can't breathe!" She laughed.

"Admit it!"

"No!"

"Then I'm not stopping!" She continued her torture as she watched the girl beneath her toss and turn and try with all her might to push her off to no prevail.

"Fine, fine! I admit it, you're right!" Rapunzel eventually had enough due to lack of air. Cassandra immediately stopped but didn't move to get off of her as she leaned up, her legs straddling Rapunzel, placed on either side of her as she smirked and crossed her arms.

"See? That wasn't so hard, was it?"

"You.." Rapunzel wheezed as she tried to catch her breath. "...play dirty."

"Hey, no one ever said I was fair."

"Tch, only gives me more right to do something later."

"I like to see you try. Besides, I'm not ticklish like you are." She poked the girl's side, making another giggle rise out of her.

"I know. There are other ways to get you to cave, Cass."

"Oh yeah? Like what?"

Rapunzel gave her a sly, mischievous smile and Cassandra was curious to see what the younger girl had in mind. "Like this~." Rapunzel purred before she grabbed Cassandra's shirt and pulled her down to meet her lips. Cassandra's eyes widened as the softness of Rapunzel's lips touched hers. She felt herself melting into the kiss as she closed her eyes and pressed back.

It ended too quickly for Cassandra's liking as Rapunzel pulled back. Rapunzel gave her a smirk as Cassandra stared down at her with wide, dazed eyes and a deep blush covering her rosy cheeks. "See? I told you. I can make you jelly right in my arms!"

Once Cassandra found her voice, she mumbled out a flustered response. "That wasn't fair.."

Rapunzel giggled. "No one ever said I played fair." She smirked, using Cassandra's phrase from earlier.

"Oh, ha-ha, very funny." Cassandra rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile at Rapunzel's triumphant giggle. Still flustered, Cassandra asked: "C-Can.. Can we do that again?" Rapunzel responded with a smile and pulled her down for another wonderfully passion-filled loving kiss and Cassandra returned it whole-heartily.

Cassandra decided that she was fine with letting Rapunzel win.
