Jace's POV 

"Hey ,you good?"

"you can talk to me if you need "
"I am fine"
"no you are not you just said so mi amor" I mimick him and he gives me a smile

"you keep calling me that what does it mean ?" I knew what it meant but i wanted to hear him say it 
"It means beautiful"
"Thank you " my cheeks a deep shade of red 

I didn't know his story but i felt his anger radiate,for a man who runs a mafia he is all alone .Things must be hard on him ,i feel stupid for feeling sorry for a criminal but with him he never acts like one so i can't really label him .

"can i ask you a question ?"
"yes "
"how did you become Reg de Armas(weapon king )?"
"I am surprised that you know that name "he lets out a low chuckle and i swear i just died 
"if i am gonna be honest i did a bit of research "

He smiles and i take in those few seconds because seeing Reed smile,laugh and smirk was fucking priceless .

"When my dad died 4 years ago i was forced to take over the businesses ,he only owned New York but i extended my profits and i now own California, Florida ,Louisiana  and many more "
"you were only 18 when all those responsibilities were given to you ,it must have been though "

i walk away with my face in a red mess but still smile to myself 

Reed's POV 

she smiles at me while walking away and to me her smile was the only good thing that happened today .
