SARAH POV
It was finally time. The day has arrived. I still couldn't believe that Gigi and I were here.
I was BEYOND excited to be seeing BTS at a fan meeting. Hopefully, all of my Korean learning would pay off. Hopefully, I wouldn't forget everything I learned once I saw them and talked to them. Of course, Gigi was here with me. We were about at the middle of the line, I would say. I was looking ahead at the empty chairs, and my heart was beating so fast. What was I supposed to say? How was I supposed to act? This was all super new for me.
"How does my hair look?" I asked Gigi.
"Mom, it looks fine. It's not like you are trying to date them or something," she said.
"Of course not! That doesn't mean I don't want to look nice in front of my bias." She rolled her eyes.
"Please don't embarrass me," she said, with a pleading look on her face.
"How would I do that?" I asked, incredulously.
"By being YOU."
"Oh, so you think I'm an embarrassment?"
"No. But you sometimes do embarrassing things, especially when it comes to BTS."
"Oh, really? Like what?"
"Mom, you have stickers all over your car and a personalized license plate."
"Yeah, so?"
"You have an RJ plushy attached to your bag, that you brought here. Do I need to mention the tattoos? I see you have covered your arms. Too embarrassed for them to see?" She crossed her arms in front of herself and looked at me.
"No," I said, hugging myself unconsciously. But, I guess I must have been. I looked around. But no, I would not give in to this. I love myself and BTS has helped me with that. I refuse to be embarrassed. I rolled my sleeves up.
"MOM!"
"What?"
"Nevermind, they are coming out."
"안녕하세요!" the guys were saying as they waved and stood behind their seats.
"Hello, we are," Namjoon said. "BTS!" the guys completed, as they bowed to the crowd.
"Thank you for coming today!" Jin said.
"We are looking forward to meeting you all," Hobi said. Then, they sat down. I was so nervous. There he was, right there. Yoongi. I was trying to hear them talking to each other as they took their seats. Of course, Tae and JK were goofing off.
The order was Jin, Jimin, JK, Tae, Namjoon, Hobi, Yoongi.
It seemed like there were a lot of people, but I knew there were about 100 for today. I guess 100 people in the same room does seem like a lot. I looked around to make sure Gigi was next to me.
"Ok honey, do you want to go ahead of me, or behind me?" I asked her.
"I think behind? Then maybe you can pre-introduce me?" she said, nervously. I smiled.
"Of course." I smoothed her hair down, and she batted my hand away.
"MOM! Stop," she said, embarrassed.
I looked at the people ahead of me and how they interacted with the members. Being professionals that had done this a lot, BTS was very comfortable with fan interactions. It was getting close to my turn and I have to say that being this close to Jin was kind of intimidating.
Finally, it was my turn.
"안녕하세요! 저는 한국어를 배우고 있어요. 실수해서 죄송합니다." (Hello! I've been learning Korean. Sorry for any mistakes.) I bowed hello. Jin was genuinely surprised.
