Maya shot awake as Vi burst into the room, Powder immediately ran and embraced her sister "they took Vander" she huffed out, out of breath and grabbed his cast iron fists, Maya sat there shocked and grabbed one of Vanders old blades from under the couch.
"What" Maya asked "where'd they take him" Mylo looked at the blade and at the determination on her face before holding out his hand.
"Are you sure your ready" he whispered while Vi fought with Powder "YOUR NOT READY" she shouted and Powder reeled back "I'm ready" Maya said determined and went to walk to the door when someone else's hand held onto her shoulder.
"Vi?" Mylo said, looking at her hand holding Maya back "Maya your not going either" she said "the hell I'm not, Vander is family" she barked and pulled away heading towards the door, struggling as Vi picked her up.
"No, you are staying here, your injured" Vi said again, "Mylo, tell her" Maya said again, trying to get past Vi "Maya. . ." Mylo dragged on.
"Your staying here Maya" Vi said with finality "no I'm not, why would you even care if I'm injured, you've never cared about me anyways" Maya grit her teeth and shoved a shocked Vi out of the way, stopping next to Ekko.
"Where is he?" She asked, and the three oldest children came out "don't tell her Ekko, she's not going" Vi said, coming up behind Maya and picking her up "you want to talk some sense into your sister Mylo."
Mylo stood there awkwardly, not meeting either girls eyes "Violet you can't stop me" Maya hissed, looking at the pink haired girl who stared back with more intensity "the hell I can't."
Violet stomped down the stairs the young girl in her arms and tossed her inside the room "we will be back before you know it" she said "someday you'll know why I did this Maya" she turned and left, leaving the two young girls by themselves.
"I'm not weak, why wouldn't she take me, why didn't Mylo say anything" both her and Powder where having two different types of breakdowns "Vi doesn't control me" Maya said, holding the tiny knife that Vander gave her in her palm and accidentally cut open her hand.
She didn't feel it as she left Powder behind and started out after her brother, "someday you'll know why I did this Vi" she mocked and climbed into the roofs, following after her family.
"Maya" Ekko shouted across the rooftops as he spotted her, but she was to far away to even hear as she jumped into the building that Vi and the boys entered.
