It must have taken about 4 or 5 hours in total until we finally got off the train. I had no clue where we were and couldn't recognize the name of the city either.

As we walked out of the train station, we found ourselves in a small village with brick houses and a lot of small alleys that gave off a maze-like atmosphere. "What are we doing here?" I asked quietly while my eyes wandered around the place. It all gave off a rather weird atmosphere.

"You'll see." Dazai grabbed for my hand and pulled me after him as we hurried through the streets. The further we got the fresher and saltier the air started to smell, and a cold breeze started to blow my hair into my face. Still, even when I almost tripped Dazai kept pulling me and I had no option but to follow him blindly.

Then suddenly he stopped. I looked forward and my eyes met with the sight of dark up rising waves that calmy crashed into the sand beneath our feet. The dark blue water reflected the stars of the cold night sky and spread out endlessly. The sea.

"I've lived here most of my childhood, that's why I felt like going here one last time. It's weird. I never quite seemed to like this town or rather I didn't like the people here. It was like everyone seemed to know each other so they constantly felt the need to talk. It was so tiring" Dazai explained.

"Oh, and I almost thought you took me here to spend some time at a nice place together" I pouted. Of course, I was being sarcastic. I didn't really tend to expect anything from Dazai.

"Well, even though this wasn't exactly my intention... I'm glad you're here with me. You make me feel so much better still so much worse at the same time. I wonder is it a sin to feel eased by other people's suffer?" I couldn't help but let a small smile slip over my face "What if I felt the same about you?" Our eyes met and I could see the moon reflect in his. They were so narrowed and teary yet beautiful.

Dazai's hand slight stroke along mine and our fingers started to cross into each other's until we both held on tight. His hands were so cold, yet his touch made me feel a little warmer. I rested my head against his chest, and we just stood there listening to the sounds of waves crushing into the shore and wind howling as it blew with a tremendous force.

I feel a little safer when I'm with you...

...was what I wanted to say but I didn't get the words to slip over my lips.
