Chapter 8
Mila woke up to the sun shining through the curtain of her room. She took a moment and accessed her situation and realized she was alone. She knew Ravior must have taken her to her room and that thought made her grateful and sad that he didn't stay with her.
She turned on her back and looked up at the ceiling thinking about everything from last night. Talking to Julian really helped put everything in perspective and settled her mind. Even to the point her dreams revolved around being near Ravior and Aniyah's wolves.
Although she was scared, she remembered how they looked and she loved it. Aniyah was beautiful and Ravior looked strong and she wanted to run her fingers through both of their furs. This thought surprised her because of how against it she was but put it to the shock factor which she still thinks is in effect. She was still having a hard time understanding that they are werewolves but she is less likely to run away from them. She needed that time alone to process everything.
Mila got up and walked to the bathroom that was in her room and showered. Taking her time and letting the water run through her body. Thinking in the shower was always the best because it gave her moments of clarity. She secretly wanted to know more about both of them but was still very confused with her connection with Aniyah.
Getting out of the shower, she dressed in black fluffy sweatpants and a simple white tank top. She pulled her hair into a wet messy bun and built up the courage to walk out of the room. When she walked out she only saw Julian sitting at the dining room table. Her apartment was an open room concept, she quickly could see no one else was in the apartment.
She shut the door which caused Julian to look up from his phone and smile at her.
"Good morning!" He said warmly. She offered a good morning and looked around again. Julian noticed and spoke up.
"They went to go get some food. They needed to get out of the apartment for a little bit so I sent them for a walk." He smiled at her. She nodded and walked over to the table and sat across from him.
"So how did you sleep?" He asked and she bit her lip.
"Fortunately, I slept well. I actually had dreams of their.. "She paused for a moment, the words thickening in her mouth. "Their wolves." Although the word itself, wolf, was not foreign, in the manner of how it was being used was, to describe her boyfriend and friend. Julian gave a reassuring smile.
"Well that is a step in the right direction unless it was a nightmare?" He asked, questioning her. She shook her head.
"No, it was pretty boring actually, I just sat there petting them. It was rather strange." She sat quietly and thought about her dream and smiled. They both sat there and talked about different things. Not really having a conversation anymore about the wolves. It was nice for them to get to know each other more than just at a bar.

Aniyah and Ravior walked silently behind a tree to get their clothing. They went for a run in their wolves just to get a stretch from the stressful night. Sometimes connecting with their wolves just made things feel better. Ravior told Aniyah that Mila came in last night and spoke to him so they were both feeling pretty good about today.
After they both got dressed, they went to the bakery to get breakfast for everyone. As they were there Aniyah received a phone call.
"Hey it's my dad, imma take this outside, just get me two number twos." Ravior nodded and turned back to face the cashier. Aniyah walked outside and answered the phone.
"Hey daddy." She smiled into the phone.
"Hey munchkin." His deep baritone voice reverberated through the phone causing her wolf to wag her tail. Although she was an adult and has been away from home for many years, she was always a daddy's girl.
