"How do I look?" Mila asked, standing in front of the long mirror hanging on the wall. Ravior looked over at her and checked her out slowly, his eyes lingering on her rear that was being hugged in the white jeaned pants. He looked into the mirror to see her taut stomach that was showing and saw her lilac color crop top hoodie that had a slightly darker purple heart on the front with the word heard breaker written in cursive in black.

She was worried she wasn't dressed fancy enough for their in-home dinner. She was fretting to cook some food but worried herself sick and they all decided to order some take out and watch movies and play board games.

"Babe, you look beautiful. It is just a chill day in with some friends that are coming by." This is what he kept telling her even though he knew it was going to be anything but. He had decided that he was going to tell her today after a couple drinks and some fun. He walked over to her and slid his hands along her waist where her skin was showing and smiled when she rested her head on his shoulder.

He looked at her eyes in the mirror and smiled at her. He pressed a kiss to her neck and inhaled her scent. She has been helping him handle not being around his mate. His wolf was acting weird; one moment completely satisfied and okay with Mila, the next whining and freaking out the next. It has only been two days since he last saw Julian and he was already going stir crazy.

It was hard when it was raining to tell Mila he wanted to go for a walk when he needed a run but that was something that he needed to do during those moments so he didn't accidentally surprise her by turning in the middle of the living room.

Aniyah and Julian should be here any moment. They scheduled for one so they can get some games in, eat and still get time to relax and prepare for work on the following day. Ravior's eyes looked over to the clock and saw that he still had a half hour before they came over and grabbed Mila's hand and walked her over to the couch. He sat down and brought her onto his lap and just held her close.

She tilted her head to look at him, looking deep into his eyes trying to read them. He wondered sometimes if she could see the wolf in them. When he was close to the surface his eye color would change and get gold flecks in them but she never said anything about it.

"Are you okay?" She asked softly and he nodded.

"I am, I just wanted to take these couple of moments and hold you." She smiled and curled further into his chest. He was scared about today's discussion but didn't want to fret too much about it. Even though he met his mate, the thought of this beautiful woman leaving his life caused his heart to ache and his wolf to whine. It was still a mystery since they have not heard anything from the pack yet but to still have loving feelings for another person when you met your mate was bizarre.

At first Ravior thought it might have to do with meeting the people they are with now first, maybe it lessened the connection with the mate a little but that did not make much sense because that is the first lesson you are taught when learning about mates. Never get into a relationship with someone else you're sure you're mateless because the other person will never win against a mate.

They stayed like that until he could smell Aniyah and Julian. Their windows were open so the smell wafted into his apartment. Pressing his lips to her neck again, he heard the elevator ding and his wolf stood, tail wagging back and forth excited to see his mate. Not a moment later he heard the knock on the door and Mila quickly tried to scramble up but he grabbed her and kissed her hard and deep to calm her nerves. She melted in his arms and pulled back smiling and together they got up and went to the door and opened it.

The door opened and there was electricity in the air that everyone felt but only one did not understand and Julian broke the tenseness and said hello and reached out to give a hug to Mila and shook Raviors hand trying to hide any reaction.
