Seeing Mr. Masen first thing in the morning to wake them up instead of Elizabeth was jarring. He was fully dressed in comfortable travel attire instead of his usual work clothes.

He knocked on the door a little louder then usual first and then he called out to them while shaking their legs slightly. They both were still a little hazy as they watched him start to head to the closed curtains right after. Gripping at them and about to pull them open.

"No! Please don't open them." Jacob called out covering his face with a pillow before Mr. Masen could try. He looked towards Edward curiously who just sleepily shook his head with a lazy amused smile. Mr. Masen moved away from the curtain as Edward finally spoke.

"Are you two heading out now?" He asked.

Elizabeth and Mr. Masen had gotten an invitation for a family wedding a couple of year ago and it would be taking place in the next week or so. Since they were so far away Mr. Masen and Elizabeth had planned to go there with the whole family for a week or maybe even longer depending on if they wanted to take it as a vacation or not. At the time they had only RSVPed that Edward would be coming and seeing as they didn't want to just leave Jacob out Edward opted to not go at all.

They also didn't want to see if they could get him invited either given the time of year it was it was likely to be a thanksgiving themed wedding and they didn't want to make him uncomfortable. After Jacob had explained to them in the beginning of the month the horrible history of the holiday and It's involvement with his people and why he didn't celebrated it they decided that day to ban it form their own household. Which Jacob was greatly touched by and appreciative of.

So long story short, Elizabeth and Mr. Masen would take the trip as a nice couples get away while the boys stayed home. Elizabeth trusted Jacob to keep them safe if anything came up and she trusted Edward to not let Jacob get them in trouble to begin with. They'd be able to keep each other in check.

Unbeknownst to her they had their own plans for this week as well.

Jacob had kept in mind a wonderful date ideas for when they were alone as well as that little bit 'more' Edward had made him promise to give from now on. They hadn't been alone enough to be able to do that yet and Jacob just knows that if he doesn't take this opportunity both of them would regret it.

That being said, Edward also saw this as a perfect opportunity to for more. Not just what he'd made Jacob promise but he planned to finally make Jacob break his insane resolve this week. He was not willing to waste anymore time on the off chance of meeting this one in a million 'perfect woman' Jacob said he was meant to be with.

However, he realized that he'd never be able to vocally convince him of this or make Jacob give up on it, so he was going to do everything possible on a physical level to convince him. One tactic that he had in mind being related to a wolf ethology book he'd purchased in secret from Jacob. He may or may not have been reading up on the mating and coupling chapter leading up to this week.

It's not like Jacob gave him a choice okay! His human mind was too damn stubborn, so Edward decided to try and appeal to those more animal like instincts that Jacob talked to him about in passing. More specifically how he slipped up and mentioned that was the hardest thing to ignore when they were together. Jacob was so bad at keeping secrets afterall. It was so easy to get him to split up and confess things.

"Yes, your mother wanted me to wake you boys because she says she needs the time to pack her make up. I told her to do it last night, but she insisted she'd need it out to do it this morning. I'm not sure why, we'll be in the car the whole trip." Mr. Masen said with a look the practically read 'I'll never understand the woman'.
