chapter four

"Where's the light switch-?" Micah mumbles, into our kiss.

I reach next to the door and turn the light on before leading Micah closer to my bed and pushing him backwards so that he's sitting on it. I pull his shirt off and toss it on the ground then straddle his hips and go in for a kiss. He kisses back roughly and reaches behind me to unfasten my bra.

"What the fuck."

I quickly re-fasten my bra and turn around to see Nicolette sitting up and staring at us. "Oops..." I whisper so only Micah can hear.

"Is this how it's gonna be every night? I'll talk to Dumbledore and get my room switched, Astrid," Nicolette says, clearly upset.

"Oh come on, there's no need for that. We were just messing around but he's leaving now," I tell her.

"Uh, yeah I was getting ready to head out..." Micah says. He moves me off of his lap and grabs his shirt from the floor. Then, he stands up and puts his shirt back on.

I get up and follow Micah out of the room. We stop in the hallway and quickly kiss. "Sorry... I forgot I had a roommate," I tell him with a chuckle.

"Eh, it's all good. We'll just have to find new places to... hang out." He smirks and kisses my cheek before walking away. "Goodnight!" he calls from the common room.

"Night," I say back. I smile and walk back into my dorm, shutting the door behind me.

"Who was that?" Nicolette asks, still furious.

"My boyfriend." I roll my eyes and grab a pair of shorts and a t-shirt from my trunk.

"And you just had to go and bring him in here while I was sleeping didn't you?" She scoffs and lays back on her bed.

"Listen, I'm sorry- I'm just not used to having a roommate," I explain. I quickly change then sit on my bed.

"It's fine I guess." She covers herself back up with her blankets and rolls over onto her side. "Could you turn the light off?"

"Yeah, no problem." I get up, turn off the light, then lay down on my bed and close my eyes. "I really am sorry. I don't want to start the year off fighting, so can we just put this past us?" I ask.

"Sure, now can I go back to sleep?"

"Yeah, goodnight."
