Chapter 5 - Let The Chase Begin

This is going to be a journey.

At 5:30 in the morning, the sun is rising up. Ezreal woke up and wiped his eyes. He saw Kai'Sa, looking at the sun and stood up from the ground, but he suddenly feels weak. Kai'Sa turns around when she heard the footsteps of Ezreal, she walks towards him.

"You're awake." Kai'Sa said with a smile. "How's your sleep?"

"It's fine." Ezreal scratched his head. "I guess."

"What do you mean?" Kai'Sa raised an eyebrow. "You didn't get enough sleep?"

"Well, I guess so. I feel so weak."

"Then get some more rest." Kai'Sa patted Ezreal's shoulder. "We don't have to go this early."

"Don't worry about me." Ezreal said with a smile. "And besides, it's best if we go now."

Kai'Sa nodded and turns around to see the sun again. Ezreal smiles at her, knows that she's having second thoughts. He patted Kai'Sa's shoulder.

"You don't have to go with me if you don't want to."

"Hm?" Kai'Sa turns around to Ezreal. "I already made my decision last night."

"But is that final..?"

Kai'Sa chuckles. "Of course it's final, Ezreal."

Ezreal smiles and lets go of his hand from Kai'Sa's shoulder. He kneels down to the ground and gets his backpack. Kai'Sa sighs heavily and touches her neck. Ezreal stood up and looks at her.

"You look worried."

"Hm, am I that obvious?" Kai'Sa looks away.

"Yeah..." Ezreal looks at the sky. "What are you worried about?"

Kai'Sa looks at Ezreal and sighs heavily. She really doesn't want him to ask her more questions because she doesn't want Ezreal to get worried too much while they are on a trip.

"It's nothing."

"You sure?"

"Yep." Kai'Sa chuckled, but not truthfully. "It's just that I'm a bit nervous for my first adventure."

Ezreal really didn't believe her. It is quite obvious that she is thinking about something else, but he just goes with the flow and will try to ask Kai'Sa later again so that she can calm down.

"Okay then." Ezreal smiled and patted Kai'Sa's shoulder. "Let's go now."

"Mhm." Kai'Sa nodded. "I'll lead the way."

Ezreal nodded and follows Kai'Sa. He looks up at the sky and hopes that they will get his journal in no time.

"I still can't reach to her, Ma'am." Helen said. "I don't think she's gonna-"

"Then call her again." Isabella said with a frown on her face. "Don't try to disappoint me again, Helen."

Helen sighs heavily and nods. She walks forward to a man with dark red hair, he wears white clothes with golden brown strips and two black bracelets on his wrists. "I have to call someone again..."

"Ugh, seriously?" The man groaned with a disgusted look on his face. "You've been using my watch for 5 times now. Give it up already, that person you're calling is not gonna-"

Isabella slams her hand to the table. "Give. Her. Your. Watch."

The man raised an eyebrow and stood up from his chair. "Look, sweetheart. I'm being nice to you since we met this morning, but I think I have to be rough with you now."

"Oh?" Isabella scoffed. "You should've have done that with me in the first place, Willy."

"It's Will to you." Will got annoyed by Isabella. "Are you deaf earlier or something?"
