"Good morning, Ez! Happy birthday."
Little Ezreal woke up and he saw his mother, sitting right beside him.
"Mama!" Ezreal hugged his mother tightly. She hugged her son back. "You're back!"
"Hahaha! Yes, Ezreal. We just got back from our adventure." Ezreal's mother said, scratching his head.
"How was it?" Ezreal asked with sparkles in his eyes.
"It's awesome! Your Papa and I had so much fun." Ezreal's mother said. "We also got chased by a big monster!"
"Really?!" Ezreal's surprised. "What kind of a monster is it?"
"Hahaha!" Ezreal's mother laughed. "To be honest, I have no idea. But it has wings on its back and large thorns on its head!"
"Whoaaa, that's cool!"
"Hahaha, it is. Plus it's scary. Now we will talk more about our adventure later because your Papa and I got a gift for you downstairs."
"A gift for me?" Ezreal got excited. "You have a gift for me?!"
"Of course!" Ezreal's mother answered. "It's your birthday. Your Papa and I won't go back home without a gift for our little boy."
Ezreal's mother kissed him on the forehead.
"Can I see it now??" Ezreal asked.
"You have to eat breakfast first, Ezreal."
"Awww." Ezreal whined. "But I wanna see it now!"
"You will see it when you eat breakfast." His mother chuckled.
"Fineee." Ezreal got out of bed and ran.
"Wait, Ez!" Ezreal's mother stopped him. "Not so fast, Birthday Boy. Let me brush your hair first, it's so messy."
"But Mama!" Ezreal whined once again. "I don't wanna!"
Ezreal's mother gave him a cold look.
"Fineee." Ezreal ran to his mother and sat down at a chair.
"Hahaha. I'm just playing with you, Ez." Ezreal's mother grabbed a hairbrush and starts to comb her son's hair.
"By the way, how's your first day of school yesterday?" Ezreal's mother asked. "Did you make some new friends?
"It's great!" Ezreal answered. "But uhhhh, I haven't made some new friends yet."
"That's alright! You're just from the beginning, Ezreal." Ezreal's mother smiled. "And in the end, you will make and have friends."
Ezreal's mother put down the hairbrush.
"There you go, Birthday Boy! You look so handsome."
"Thanks, Mama!" Ezreal got up from the chair and ran as fast as he could, so that he won't get called by his mother again.
He rushed downstairs to the dining room and saw his father.
"Papa!" Ezreal ran and hugged him.
"Ezreal!" Ezreal's father hugged him back tightly. "Happy birthday!"
"Thanks!" Ezreal smiled. "You have a gift for me, right?"
"Of course, Birthday Boy." Ezreal's father answered. "But you have to-"
"Eat breakfast first." Ezreal stopped his father. "I know."
"Hahaha." Ezreal's father laughed. "Your Mama told you, huh?"
"Yeahhh. She told me."
"Oh yes, I did."
Ezreal looked back and he saw his mother.
"Hi, Mama!"
"Hi, Birthday Boy."
Ezreal looked up at his father. "Can we eat breakfast now??"
"Of course, son." Ezreal's father answered, scratching his son's head. "And after breakfast, we'll give you our gift for you."
"Yay!" Ezreal shouted with a smile on his face.
After Ezreal and his parents ate breakfast, Ezreal's father stood up from the chair to get Ezreal's gift.
"Here you go, Birthday Boy!" Ezreal's father gave the gift to him. "We hope you like it."
When Ezreal took the gift from his father, his eyes sparkled.
"Whoaaaa, a book!"
"Yes, it is!" Ezreal's mother said. "But it's not just a book, Ez. Open it."
Ezreal opened the book and gasped. "Whoa."
"There it is. The gasp." Ezreal's father laughed. "We knew that you were going to be surprised."
Ezreal's book is his parents' journal. He checked every single pages.
"Wow, this is so cool!" Ezreal said with a smile on his face.
"First of all, we're giving this to you because we ran out of pages."
"Sweetheart!" Ezreal's mother got annoyed.
"Of course it's not just that!" Ezreal's father laughed. "We're also giving this to you because we want to show you our adventures that we've been to and treasures that we got."
Ezreal's eyes is full with sparkles once again. He can't stop looking at the journal.
"Thanks Mama and Papa!" Ezreal thanked his parents with a hug. "I love it!"
Ezreal's parents hugged him back tightly. "You're very welcome, Ezreal."
"Now shall we look more what's inside?" Ezreal's mother asked.
"Yeah!" Ezreal answered.
Ezreal and his parents are starting to read the journal while they were laughing and having fun. Ezreal would never forget his beautiful and unforgettable memory with his parents.
Present Day
"Huh..." Ezreal woke up from the sunlight as the sun starts to rise up. He covered his eyes and groaned until he felt his tears going down to his cheeks.
He's confused at first until he remembered what he dreamed of last night.
"I miss those good old days..."
