Chapter 2: Adjusting to change

Mukago and I are walking back to my residence, she can stay there and feel safe. I open her bedroom and she looks at it amazed.

Mukago: all of this is for me?!

I nod my head smiling as she runs in and plops on the bed giggling, I look at her and think this is why I become a demon slayer, to swear to protect the innocent humans and to find a cure for demons. I been trying for months but no avail yet.

I walk put to the front patio to get some fresh air

Y/N I should go pay lady Tamayo a visit

I walk down the hallway to Mukago's room I knock on her door

Y/N: hey I'm going to go to meet up with lady Tamayo I'll be back soon, she opens the door and gives me a hug

Mukago: ok be safe!

She walks back in as I walk to lady Tamayo's I hear explosions and noises from the other side to her secret entrance, just what is going on?

I step inside and I see a demon throwing Temari balls at a demon slayer and a... demon? A demon fighting a demon? I step in as tamayo unleashes her spell I'm immune to the spell since she made me a medicine for it, tamayo proceeds to ask the demons questions untill she snaps.

???: shut up, shut up! You don't know the master like I do! You can't fathom his power not lord ki-

Before she can finish I quickly rush in and knock her out

Y/N what the hell Tamayo?

Tamayo: ah Y/N what a surprise

I pick pull up the demons kimono and pick her up, and I think I had enough talk already. I look at the boy demon slayer and leave. I walk to my house and open the door to see Mukago walking around anxious until she sees me.

Mukago: what's she doing here?

She looks worried for some reason I also see anger in her eyes

Y/N: this dumbass almost got herself killed with muzans curse

I walk to my room and set her in bed

Mukago pov

Why the hell is he putting her in his bed? That should be me!

I turn around to see her red and filled with anger I even hear growing. Laughingly I walk up to her and pat her on her head.

Y/N: what wrong? Someone jealous?

Mukago: no! I'm not jealous

Y/N: ok, I'm gonna go to bed, later he walk to a guest bedroom

I look on at him and look at Susmaru and mumble

Mukago: stay away from him he's mine you understand

(The next day)

Y/N pov

I wake up and head to my room to check on Susmaru she's sitting up looking around confused and looks at me. I walk in and sit next to her

Y/N: hello, how are you feeling?

Susmaru: I feel fine... uh where am I what happened to me?

Y/N: well you were engaging in combat, and you almost triggered the curse that would've killed you.

Her eyes widen and leans forward to hug me

Susmaru: you saved my life!

I laugh returning the hug

Susmaru pov

I look at the corner of my eye and notice lower moon 4 gesturing me to come out and talk.

Susmaru: you have lower rank 4 here?

Y/N: yeah muzan was gonna kill her so

Susmaru walks out and Mukago grabbed Susmaru and pulls her to the side

Mukago: listen here! Y/N is mine not yours if you go anywhere near him I'll make that curse get you! Got it?

Susmaru: why are you threatening me?

Mukago: because I don't want anyone to get in between my love!

Mukago starts tearing up clenching to her chest

Mukago: please... don't take the only descent thing I have

Susmaru: Lower 4 I...

Mukago: call me Mukago...

Susmaru: Mukago he loves you you know

Mukago eyes widen

Mukago: what? He does?!

Susmaru nods her head

Susmaru: I can tell when he told me he does have you his pupils grow. Mentioning your name even makes him blush. So don't take 10 years to ask him out just go for it sister!

Susmaru shoves Mukago in and she looks at Y/N scared

Y/N is sitting there reading a book until he looks up at her and smiles warmly. Mukago runs up to Y/N and hugs you.

Mukago: Y/N! I have something to tell you... well here goes *deep breathe* I... I...I-I love you!

Her face is red Mukago looks at Y/N worried on what he'll say tears start running down her face out of fear to rejection. She was about to get up and leave until Y/N pulls her in for a kiss and this moment for Mukago is like complete bliss for the first time in forever she is feeling peace.

Y/N: I love you too.. Mukago

Chapter 2 is done but it dosen't end there there will be more hardship and more Muzan trying to get her out of your life. But you will use every ounce of energy you have to prevent that.
