CHAPTER 4
The hell Bea? Why would you ask her to pay for it? I don't know why I ran out of reason and told her a lame excuse. I wanted to apologize for being an a**hole last night. But I was out of words. I'm also aware that the girl is not a stalker, I just hate the idea that the she saw me in that situation. I don't like people seeing me weak or giving me sympathy. Not again.
-Flashback-
I threw the camera furiously. I'm not in the mood and what I don't like the most are people who don't mind their own business. The girl madly remove my hands off her and punched my face.
F*ck? I cursed
She hurriedly dive into the water. 'Yeah, go ahead and look for that damn camera.' I mumbled to myself. I finished another bottle of beer and walked to my way back to the hotel. Looks like it's going to rain and sky was darker than before. For sure it would be difficult, and also dangerous to swim that night.
I paused for a few minutes to think. I don't care about the girl but then a pang of guilt hit me. What if something happened to her?
I ran back to the place. The girl was gone. Maybe she head back home? But a pair of slippers was scattered on the sand. Hindi naman siguro nito iiiwan ang tsinelas at uuwing nakapaa diba? She searched the place for a while but no sign of the girl. Hopeless she sat down and gathered her thoughts. I closed her eyes for a second, and the place was left in silent. A little while at a distant, she saw someone's hands waving for help. The girl she was looking for!
F*ck? Is she drowning?
With panic I swam towards the girls direction. She carried the girl into the coast, the girls heart was beating slowly and her body was so cold. The girl was not breathing even she shakes her several times. She don't have a choice but to perform CPR.
Minutes passed and her eagerness to resuscitate the girl was successful. Bea sighed in relief when the girl respond. She checked the girls pulse and it's better than before and gazed to the girl beside her as she rest herself . Even the girl was unconscious, she was tightly holding the camera I threw a while ago. That camera seemed so important. After a few argument with herself, I decided to carry the girl with her to the hotel.
It's past their curfew when she sneaked to her hotel room. Most of her teammates are asleep, probably. When they reached her room, she placed the girl gently to bed. They're both soaked and they might get sick if they don't change. She can manage herself, however she stare at the girl who sleeps peacefully on her bed. 'No choice' she murmured to herself.
I put the girls wallet, phone and camera on the bedside table. 'To my precious princess Jho. Love, Dad'. The words engraved at the back of the camera caught her attention. She read it again, and right that moment she realized she was a total jerk. Like the girl, she's also very sentimental when it comes to things given to her. With that she felt really guilty. She stared the girl once more. 'So, you're Jho.' At the back of my head says the girl seems so familiar.
Jho
Jho
Jho
Jho
Then she realized.
It was her.
