It's been almost two years, god I wish she hadn't left the god damn house that night. Honestly, I blame myself, But I'm going through her things today. As I begin to sort through her wardrobe to decide what to keep for myself and give to goodwill. I notice a little necklace I'd given to her the first week we were dating. I smile softly and hear a knock on the door downstairs. Heading downstairs I open the door and see her, perfect health and everything a pitch-black crow on her shoulder.
"Y/n" I breathe out in shock and she smiles shyly like she did when she was caught red-handed with a cookie in hand.
"Chris, move, I need to do something you won't understand."
"No- No way is this some crow shit or something?"
She stiffens and says in the same tone. "Yes, now let me in."
I step aside and watch her struggle into the house and as I shut the door I see her go to the kitchen and throw up. I'm stunned, the woman I love is standing in my kitchen alive with the help of a bird and I can't do shit about it because she won't likely let me help her.
"Y/n, Baby please let me help you out... Please just once."
"Chris no, you have your fandom to look out for not just little old me."
That hurt I'll admit but I knew she'd tell me to think of my fans. Although I'll help her get dressed like the goddess she deserves to look like. She's soaked to the bone with water her skin cool but warm to the touch as I pull her hair back and sigh.
"At least tell me what happened that night?"
She shakes her head and throws up again and I see blood spilling into the sink and she groans in agony clutching an invisible wound in her chest. I catch her and she thrashes around in my arms for several minutes. Before she staggers out the door into the alleyway outside and falls on her ass. I followed her quietly and she gasps in agony as she sits up and looks at me with dead calm eyes.
"I have to kill them, baby they murdered us, took us from you. The baby and I."
My breath is stolen from my lungs at that and I smack my knees onto the wet pavement covering my mouth. I think I'm going to be sick... My child, my love, were murdered outside our house. I look up to her and shakily hold out an open palm. A silent plea for her to touch me to know what I had planned to surprise her with that night. She takes my hand and starts to cry sweetly kissing my cheek as I reveal her engagement ring, dangling from my neck much like Rick does with his key.
"I had a feeling when you came home all excited to tell me something my love, now come along, I need to exact my revenge."
I nod weakly and stand up helping her up and sighing softly legs like jello as we walk back to the house with arms linked. Come with me my love, and live. Live for vengeance, death, and the sake of our baby.
"You know I love you right?"
"I know my crow, you know I miss you, and I'll be eternally yours."
