Y/n was up at an early hour again, running down the street with her music blaring. Vin was outside watching her from his living room again, getting stoned hardcore with Aj and Logan yet again.
"If you like her so much why don't you go out and ask for her number Vin?" Aj scoffs heavily with a dopey grin on his face. "Not like she'll notice the man in the window staring at her, with how loud her music is."
"No- no fuckin way I'll mess up my words again!" Vin whined softly in return.
Logan stands up and grabs the bong to dump it out and says comfortingly to the boys.
"Vin, we see how she makes you feel if she makes you smile like Rick and Jamie make each other do. It's probably a smart idea to go ask her out on a date at least."
"Yeah man, please just go ask her once? just once then I'll stop harping on you about it man."
Vin sighs out heavily lungs feeling like lead as he nods once in affirmation. "Okay, just once to get you off my ass AJ. Seriously, I want you to stop once I ask her, she'll be back in an hour I'll ask then."
An hour passes as the trio play with their tech decks around the table and Vin's phone blares with an alarm that he had set. He quickly drops the tech deck board and grabs his phone and walks outside to see Y/n coming back from her run on the trails and she waves at him in advance and slows down as he approaches kinda stumbling a little.
"Hey, Y/n how's the run?"
"Hey Vin, Are you okay bud? You're swaying a little.."
Vin nods and smiles shyly at his hands and says shifting from foot to foot. "Hey, Y/n? Would you ever wanna go out with me?"
She stares at him kinda shocked and he almost falls back against the skylark parked in his driveway. She rushes forward and catches him before he cracks his head on the door.
"Vin! Oh my god, why are you so weird today? Wait a second, Vin are you stoned?" Y/n giggles softly and says shyly as she rights him up against the car. "It's okay if you are just, can you ask me again when you're sober? I don't want this to be just a joke dare or something that hurts you."
The poor guy just shifts and looks down at his feet not catching y/n's eyes feeling shame blossom through him. "Y-Yeah I'm stoned, are you gonna answer or not?"
"Ask me again in three days okay? I'll be waiting for you at the park down the road, Hopefully, you remember that okay?"
"Oh- that was the answer, right I'll ask again in three days... Sorry for being like this."
"Do not be sorry Vinny, I said I'll see you in three days. Okay?"
"Okay, You're sure I have to wait that long?"
"Yes Vin I'm sure."
