THE CELESTIALS were made up of eleven individuals with their own significant set of powers and abilities, some were warriors, masters of illusion, healing powers and even the ability to bend people's minds to do exactly as they were told.

Upon the discovery that deviants were prowling the globe slaughtering the humans the celestials had no choice but to break up into two groups, those who would only find themselves in the way would stay on the mother ship whilst the remaining left and jumped face first into battle.

Ikaris could fly and it made him the perfect choice to scan the lands from a birds eye view, Makkari was exceptionally fast and she could scour the lands before one had the thought to do it whilst the others were better using their fists.

From afar a deviant emerged from the sea snatching a father straight from a rock in front of his own son, the boy moved in backwards in fear as it climbed the cliffside to reach him.

The memory of his father being killed fresh at the centre of his mind, the people spoke a foreign language as they reached for weapons made of wood.

Makkari acted quickly taking away the boy whilst Ikaris flew overhead his beams injuring the deviant making the creature scream out as it fought back.

A few feet away, Devi stood still pulling the string back as she aimed her bow and arrow up, the deviant was insatiable sprinting towards her.

She inhaled softly stabilising her trembling hands, before the deviant reaches her.

Devi exhales softly, the arrow whizzes through the air, the sharpened tip embedding itself into the leg of the deviant.

The deviant retreated only to wander into the iron fist that Gilgamesh had waiting permanently putting the creature down.

The duo make eye contact and he reaches over giving her a very gentle fist bump, they break into laughter as Athena joins them, her beautiful white hair blowing gently in the wind.

"Elegant as always, Thena." Devi compliments.

The two bow smirking at each other, she moves away in time to witness Ikaris take down the final deviant with the help of Kingo.

The humans moved forward with their weapons up to face the beings that saved their lives, however that was when five more descended from the sky landing ever so gracefully on the ground to join their family.

Druig's eyes glowed an amber tint as he raises his arm the humans dropped their weapons and turned to face the eternals, witnessing the miracle that was Ajak whom healed a wound on Ikaris's shoulder.

"Thank you, Ajak." He spoke.

The mind controlling eternal took his spot at Devi's side and theirs shoulders gently brushed each other, both of them immediately making eye contact and smiling softly.

It lasted for a moment before they inevitably had to return their attention to the humans before them.

The humans admired the eternals and one by one it begun to dawn on the people of earth, they weren't just any eternals.

They had just met the acquaintance of earth's first protectors.

A legacy that would soon pave the ways for others once the torch was passed on.

Devi lost in a trance couldn't wipe the smile from her face, yeah, this wasn't going to be so bad after all.
