I woke up the morning after Halloween, which was a Monday, and checked the time; 5:30. I got out of bed and went to wake up my mom. She's never been good with alarms so waking her up for work was part of my everyday routine. I went back to my room and took a shower, brushed my teeth, and got ready for school.

As I made myself some toast and a cup of coffee for me and my mom, I said good morning to our cat, Rosie, and fed her some breakfast. Once we were all done eating, my mom left for work and I took Rosie over to the neighbor's, where she stayed till I got home. I got on my bike and left for school.
"Lea!" Sasha yelled from the front of the school. I held out my arms to hug her. Once she pulled away I noticed her outfit; too summery for the cold that November brought with it.

"What are you wearing?" I asked as she turned around to show off her outfit. "It's way too cold for that skirt."
"Well you're wearing a skirt too," she said pointing out my outfit.
"I have tights underneath, duh!"
"Well, I don't care," she said and hooked her arm in mine, pulling me towards my classroom. "Besides, Max said I look pretty."
I cringed at the mention of his name. Max. I had never liked him. But it was clear that Sasha had real feelings for her so I never really voiced my opinion.
She dropped me off at my class and left to go find hers. Being an honors student, I was used to being alone in certain classes. Considering this was honors Calculus, it was no surprise. However, just as the clock ticked 8 AM, someone walked through the door. I turned my head to see Andrew, Sasha's younger brother, walk into the room.
