Lea's POV:

I got home and saw my mom pacing the kitchen, talking to someone on the phone.

"Please let me know if you see her," she said and noticed me. She called me over and pulled up a chair for me to sit in. "Alright, thank you."

"Mom," I asked the moment she hung up the phone. "What's going on?"

"Lili-bear," she said and sighed. I knew something was seriously wrong. "Rosie ran away from Mrs. Darcy's apartment."

My heart stopped and my hand flew over my mouth, muffling a scream. I could feel tears running down my face. My mom pulled me into a hug and patted my head.

"It's okay Lea," she said. "Let it all out."

"H-how did this e-even h-happen?" I asked hiccuping through my words.

"I don't know," she said stroking my hair. "But it won't happen again, okay? I'm gonna get someone to stay here with her, okay?"

I nodded and she kissed my hair.

We spent an hour looking for her around the neighborhood before deciding to go back home. I took a shower, trying to calm down.

"We're gonna find her, okay? I promise," she said tucking me into bed

"We're gonna find her, okay? I promise," she said tucking me into bed.

I tried to go to bed but after tossing and turning until 3 a.m, I decided I had to go find her. I snuck out of the house, and tried to call her on my own, but realized I needed help. I walked over to Andrew's house and called him.

"Babe," I said and took a deep breath. "Are you awake?"

"Yeah, baby," he said and I could hear the sleep in his voice. "Is everything okay?"

"No," I admitted and the tears began flowing down my face. I wiped them and my nose, trying not to sniffle. I walked closer to the door that led to the lobby.

"Baby, where are you?" he asked and I took another deep breath.

"I'm outside your apartment building," I said shivering.

"Baby what's wrong?" he asked and I heard the elevator ding.

"It's Rosie," I said and the tears came flooding back. I couldn't control it anymore. I sobbed into my phone. "She-she's gone. I c-can't find h-her."

I couldn't stand it anymore. I broke down, crying, right outside the building. I sunk down to the ground and sat there with my head in my hands. A few minutes later, Andrew ran out of the building with a blanket in his hands.

"Hey, hey, it's okay," he said sitting down next to me. He took the blanket and wrapped it around me. "You must be cold."

"I'm sorry," I said embarrassed that he found me crying on the floor outside his building at 3 a.m.
