Lea's POV:

I walked into school on Monday to find Sasha waiting for me.

"Hey bestie," she said, clearly hiding something. "How was your weekend?"

"Spill," I spat out stopping in front of her.

"What do you mean?" she asked and I rolled my eyes.

"You better spill," I said and stepped closer to her. "Because you never call me bestie."

"Did anything happen... you know... with Andrew?" she sighed.

"Seriously?" I asked more annoyed that I had to lie about my feelings than ever. What Andrew said about following my heart really stuck with me. "Of course not. Why would you think that?"

"He was at your house," she said and folded her arms. "For 7 hours. Am I supposed to think you were just studying?"

"Yeah," I said and cringed. As much as it was a lie, it was what I wished I could tell her. "If you were a good friend, you would trust me. And even if anything did happen, if you were a good friend you would let me follow my heart instead of doing what you want all the time."

I scoffed and started to walk away from her.

"Lea, wait," she sighed, but I kept walking. I noticed Tyler in the hallway and decided to walk up to him.

"Hey Ty," I said and he turned to wave at me

"Hey Ty," I said and he turned to wave at me.

"Ready for the test?" he asked and I stopped walking. I should've done more studying instead of... well... Andrew. Tyler saw my face and burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?"

"I was joking," he said and patted my back. "Andrew was right, you're really serious about this stuff."

"Yeah," I said and chuckled.

"How is he, anyway?" he asked and I was confused.

"He's good," I answered. "You're his best friend though, shouldn't you know?"

"Well I don't even get to see him that much anymore," he said and sighed. "He's always busy studying with you and last time he said he had to go to your pla-" he paused and looked at me.

"What?" I asked nervously.

"Oh my God!" he gasped and covered his mouth. "You're dating aren't you."

"Keep your voice down," I shushed him as his voice got louder. "But yes."

"Wait," he said in a lower tone. "Does Sasha know?"

I couldn't form a response.

"She doesn't, does she?" he asked, a lot less enthusiastic than he was before.

"Please," I said looking down. "You can't tell anyone. especially not her."

"I won't," he said and kept walking. "But y'all gotta be careful. Especially if you've already-"
