The next morning, the twins woke up at, and changed into muggle attire, trooping down to the kitchen. Being met with two pieces of parchment, addressed to each of the twins.
Picking up the one addressed to herself, Satomi started to read:
Satomi,
Sorry that I'm unable to take you and Saori to Kings Cross this year, I'm sure you understand with what happened at the World Cup and all.
Promise me that you will try to reach out to more people during this year?
Stay safe, don't do anything dangerous okay? With all my love,
Your Father.
Folding the note and placing it into her jean pocket. Looking at the clock on the wall, it showed her that it was currently nine in the morning. Deciding to not think about much, Satomi decided to busy herself with buttering up her toast. Whilst her sister was eating scrambled eggs on her toast.
At half-past ten, the twins, holding onto their owl cages and trunks, apparated to platform nine and three quarters with their Mother. Staggering slightly as their feet met the smooth concrete floor of the platform, Satomi looked up to see steam billowing from the scarlet Hogwarts Express. With many Hogwarts students and parents on the platform appearing like dark ghosts against the steam.
Heaving their heavy trunks, the Nakamura twins placed them into two compartments next to each other halfway along the train. Hoping off back onto the platform to say goodbye to their Mother.
"You two are going to have an interesting year," said Yua, as she kissed Satomi on her forehead, and gave a big hug to Saori. "So please this year, no more trouble please, dears?" she finished, giving Saori a rather pointed look. To which she grinned sheepishly back at her Mother.
"Don't worry Mother, this time around I'll have this idiot's every step checked," said Satomi in a joking tone, which garnered her a playful nudge in the ribs by her pouting twin.
"Glad to hear that dear," replied Yua, with a soft smile gracing her face as the whistle blew. "Back on the train both of you!" The train pulling out of the station moments later.
Saori, seeing that the golden quartet were two compartments down, decided to join the rest of them, while Sue and Lisa joined up with Satomi in her compartment.
The rain became heavier and heavier as the train moved farther north. The sky was so dark and the windows so steamy that the lanterns were lit by midday. The lunch trolley came rattling along the corridor, where Sue, forever the big foodie of the Ravenclaw trio, bought a large stack of Cauldron Cakes, along with licorice wands for them to share.
They just started a conversation about what to expect for their coming year, when they heard the drawling tone of a certain bleach blonde boy (or git, as the trio called him).
"Weasley...what is that?"
With Satomi in the lead, the trio made their way into the corridor, and sure enough, Darco Malfoy stood in the doorway of a compartment, flanked by his enormous, thuggish cronies, Crabbe and Goyle. Upon closer inspection, it revealed the golden quartet, along with Seamus Finnegan, Dean Thomas, and Neville Longbottom,
"Eat dung, Malfoy!" the girls heard as they finally made their way to the compartment. Bringing into view Ron, who was red in the face with what seemed to be embarrassment and anger, as he snatched back what seemed to be a lace dress into his hands from Malfoy. Said blonde boy howling with derisive laughter, as his cronies guffawed stupidly.
