I dragged my feet across the rocky pavement, the sunset gleaming into my eyes making me squint lightly. I stopped when I came upon jaden's house, I walked up their driveway, careful not to walk on the grass. Before I could knock, his mom opened up the door.

"Hey! Come in, jaden's asleep." I stepped inside and stood on the doormat. She closed the door behind me and I took off my shoes, they were dirty and I was in someone else's home, mutual respect. "oh that's fine." I gave her an awkward smile and went to head up the stairs.

Once I arrived at the top of the steps, I found my way to his room. I could see a dim orange light emitting from under the door. I slowly opened the door, quietly shutting the door behind me. I set my shoes down by the door and looked around. I noticed a figure under the heavy blanket and I moved towards his bed and sat on the edge.

Jaden moved around in his bed, I jumped up at the sudden movement. "I'm not asleep, just so you know that." I jumped again at the sound of his voice, I placed my hand on my chest and let out a deep sigh. "Jesus Christ, you scared the absolute shit out of me" he laughed lightly and sat up in his bed. The itch of my jeans started to really bother me now. "Let me borrow some shorts for the night, these dumb jeans are starting to really get on my last nerve." I said, getting up and walking towards his drawers. "Yeah, there's some in the second drawer." He said, pointing towards the drawer.

I grabbed a pair from the drawer and walked out his room to the bathroom, I knocked before going in, just to make sure. Once I was done changing, I walked out off the bathroom shutting the door behind me. I walked back into his room, I realized his tv was now on. I set my jeans down next to my shoes and pulled off my zip up jacket, leaving me in a grey graphic tee. I shut the door loudly behind me. "So.. what are we watching?" I asked. "I'm watching Netflix, you ma'am are going to bed." -- "What? I'm not even tired." I say, grabbing my phone and checking myself out in the camera. "The bags under your eyes tell me otherwise, dumbass." I tilted backwards and raised one of my eyebrows.

"Hey! I can't help it! And, I'm not even tired right now." I said, rolling my eyes and crossing my arms over my chest. "We literally stayed up all night on facetime, and I know you didn't sleep because we were on facetime until you started getting dressed to come over." Jaden said, glaring at me. "How do you know I didn't take a quick nap? Hm?" He glared even harder, if that was possible. Narrowing his eyes at you, spitefully. "Because, when you take naps, you go to sleep for like- forever," I huffed and rolled my eyes. "So lay your dumbass down, and go to sleep." He finished, making it final by patting the pillow that laid behind you.

You scoffed lightly and scooted down the bed until my head was resting on the soft material, tugging the blanket up above my waist.
