Vanessa's POV
"Go get some bread," I ordered, around the corner.
Right when he walked around the corner, his phone started ringing. When I saw who the contact was, I felt sick to my stomach.
#2❤️💋💗💕.
"Hey babe, who's calling?" he asked when he came around the corner.
"#2," I spat out, with ultimate sassyness laced in my voice attitude.
"Oh really?" he asked, looking a little worried and not to mention, guilty.
"Who is it?" I asked, pissed off.
"Ohh umm, that uh my mom. Yeah my mom," he sputtered so unconvincingly. I shook my head.
"Whatever," I shrugged, putting some milk in the cart.
"Oh come on, babe," he protested, reaching to grab my hand. But I pulled away.
"No Jacob, just no. Leave me alone," I said trying to hold back a tear.
"OH HELL NAH, BRUH!" Prodigy yelled.
"WHAT THE HELL?" Beauty shrieked.
What are they doing? I thought. What's wrong?
"BITCH!" someone else shrieked back. I hurried around the corner to see Beauty be shoved into can.
"YOU SON OF A BITCH!" Prod cried out, tackling him. Then one of his friends went straight to me. I got about 4 good punches before he threw the hardest mollywop I have ever felt. I quickly grabbed my face.
"Everybody stop right now!" a police officer yelled, trying to break them up. He grabbed ahold of them and pushed them away from each other.
My face throbbed so bad. The pain was unbearable and my head span.
"Are you ok?" a female officer asked me with a concerned, yet stern look on her tough face.
"I really don't know. Is it bad?" I asked her, my head pounding hard with pain. I squinted at her and felt wobbly.
"Come with me," she ordered me then spoke into her radio. "Im gonna need an ambulance."
A few, aching moments passed until the shrill sirens of an ambulance got nearer. A paramedic hurried over to where the cop and I were."Oh, you're gonna need stitches," the paramedic groaned as she inspected me.
"How bad is it?" I asked with my eye closed. Then all of the sudden, I bent over and clutched my stomach, upheaving. After I wiped my mouth, I saw the paramedic and cop exchange worried glances at each other. I sat down and took a deep breath.
"Please follow the light," instructed the paramedic, pulling out a tiny flashlight and shining it in front of my tired and probably swollen eyes.
I struggled to move my eyes with the light and caught a glimpse of the paramedic. She was frowning.
"Okay, dear. You have a concussion, which means that you shouldn't drive. You also need to wake up every hour to see if your fine," she advised, putting away the flashlight.
I nodded, attempting to stand up and steady myself. But suddenly, I grew dizzy and fell to the hard floor, seeing bright, colorful spots.
"Ma'am ma'am ma-" I heard a voice say fuzzily, but then everything went black.
