Vanessa's POV

When we got home, I changed into fresh clothes and auntie Nicki volunteered to do my hair. I walked in the kitchen and grabbed a big bag of Takis and a few grape sodas. When I entered the living room, I saw Princeton engaged in a live Twitter thingy. (no idea what it's called)

"Wazz Popin" I said sitting on him. Then he started getting a bunch of tweets. One caught my eye it said 'Y'all should kiss' I pointed at that one. He brushed a piece of hair behind my ear then he layed his hand on my left cheek. We leanded in we were like 3 inches away from my face. Everybody came through the door. We quickly pulled away. Then their eyes went wide.

"Where y'all about to?" Twist didn't finish. I bet my face resembled a tomato.

"No, we were faking it for Twitter," Prince explained quickly, ending the stream. I felt a pang of hurt at his words. Faking it.

"Vanessa,  we have to tell you something," Wayne said to me. I moved into Prince's lap, ready to hear Wayne's news.

"What?" I snuggled into Prince, staring at him.

"I know who your dad is," Wayne confessed and I spun around to face him.

"What are you talking about? My dad's dead," I told him, feeling confusion, which quickly turned into anger at the thought of Wayne tricking me. I searched Wayne's eyes and saw that there was seriousness in them.

"Well, he's not. You're looking at him. I'm your dad," revealed Wayne, resting his hand on mine. I pulled away in disbelief. I shook my head. No way. No way.

"I am your father, Aaliyah," he spoke again, reconfirming the news. Then he walked over to some drawer and held up my original birth certificate. I was names as Aaliyah Alisha Carter. I shut my eyes and began to shake my head. How could they lie to me like this? "Been meaning to tell you that for a while, Vanessa."

"I thought you were dead," I choked, warm tears brimming in my eyes.

"I thought it was best to let you go on thinking that. You see, I couldn't take care of you. So instead, I became your 'uncle,'" he explained, motioning quotations around 'uncle' with his fingers.

"But Chicago was horrible. Every orphanage was either shot up on the block or the lady died," I managed to say through tears. "It was hell for me for a long time."

"I'm sorry, dear. Every time I came to the orphanages,  you were never there. If I would have come to got you, we would have moved states. Then everything would have become even more complicated for you, especially having Lil Wayne as a father," he explained, with sadness in his voice.

"It's okay. Let's just change the subject." I looked down at my hands and shook my head again. I couldn't believe it. All these years, I had a family. A real family.

"Okay, so what do you want to do to change the mood?" Prince asked.

"You," I whispered into his ear seductively. His eyes went wide and his face red. I laughed. "I want to have a party."

"Yassssssss!" cheered Tyga.

"Princey, Nicki, you guys should come with me to the grocery store," I suggested, jumping off of Princeton's lap.

As we pulled up to the grocery parking lot, I noticed the neighboring store was a pet store. i immediately daydreamed of cute puppies bounding after me in a grassy background.

"Princey, I want a puppy," I whined to him, tugging at his sleeve while he looked for a parking spot.

"No." I pouted my lips and batted my eyes at him.

"But baby," I whispered sexily into his ear. He sighed and gave me a look.

"Nicki, let's go to the pet store." We walked into the small pet store, which was divided into a small mammal section, amphibian and reptile section, and a fish section. After one look at the puppy part, a few caught my eyes. I walked to the short, middle-aged cashier. His name was Herold.

"Hi, Herold! I would like to buy the Pitbull, the Rottweiler, and the German Shepard, please," i requested, handing him my credit card for him to swipe. He gave me a weird look, like I was crazy to buy a bunch of puppies.

"Thank you for your business, madam," he drawled, asking an assistant to put the puppies in a box and hand them to me. Dark clouds loomed in the sky and it was beginning to sprinkle.

"Nicki, let's just go home. We'll call some people tomorrow night for a back to school party," I suggested, carrying the puppies, trying to keep them dry. Right as we got home, the rain got more powerful and the lightening worse, which freaked me out. I am terrified of lighting.

"It's okay," Princeton comforted, moving closer and wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
