Its been a month since Miss Huddlestone started her job as Tom's teaching assistant. Its gone well so far. Aside from the thoughts that rear their ugly heads in. Its now Valentines day. Tom is decorating the room for valentines day. Normally he wouldn't but he has a strange urge to decorate this year. Dressed in a black pair of slacks and a red short sleeved button up dress shirt with black suspenders. His hair brushed and slicked back some what. He even shaved. Cleaned up. Miss Huddlestone is running a bit behind and hasnt shown up yet. Its almost 9 am. Students begin arriving. Tom keeps looking to the door for Miss Huddlestone. Seeing woman all dressed up for the day and young men dressed their best. Tom steps forward and begins class. Talking about various literatures that are in correlation with the holiday. Suddenly Miss Huddlestone walks in. Hair half way pulled back and her makeup done and dressed nicely. Tom glances over and then does a double take. The students see Tom's re action and some giggle.
"So yes, there are many works that are romantic. Who can tell me a literature that correlates with today?" He asks looking back to the class. Miss Huddlestone sits her stuff down and walks a few feet away from Tom. Wearing a pencil skirt that comes just above her knee. A red button up shirt tucked in. Red high heels to match. This is the first time shes worn a short sleeve shirt and now we know why. She has a whole sleeve of tattoos thay appears to be an Edgar Allen Poe sleeve. Some tattoo peeking from under her skirt. Some of the young men in the class seeming to be a bit distracted by her. Students name off various literaures.
"Miss Huddlestone what is your favorite?" A student named Sarah asks.
"Uhm....well....Annabella Lee...." she says crossing her arms.
"Is gothic literature your favorite?" She asks.
"It is." Cassy says.
"Why?" Sarah asks.
"Well....dark literature about love....seems a bit more authentic than lets say Shakespeare." She says with a slight chuckle because she knows Tom will disagree.
"How so?" Tom asks crossing his arms.
"Well....someone...who is in a dark place such as Edgar....find beauty in the darkness...its easy to find beauty in the light. Every day when we are....happy its easy....but when your sad....or low....you can't seem to find it....and when you do...that to me....is more genuine."she says to him. The passion when she speaks. The belief in her own words.
"Thats....deep..." Jenson says with wide eyes.
"Have you fallen in love Miss Huddlestone?" Sarah asks.
"Ha....no...unfortunately....nothing more than puppy love or abuse disguised as well." She says chuckling. Chuckling at her own dismay.
"What about you Mister Hiddleston?" Sarah asks.
"Once...." he says chuckling.
"Thats sad." Jenson says chuckling.
"Yes it is very much." Cassy says laughing. They continue talking about the various romantic literatures. Until its ten minutes until class ends.
"Alright i want you all to write a poem...inspired by one of your favorite Literaure artists and turn it in tomorrow." Tom says sitting his papers down on his desk. Tom gkances over at Cassy. Whos walking around answering questions quietly.
"Hiddleston are you going to the dance?" Jenson asks.
"Dance?" Cassy says looking up.
"Theres a sweethearts dance every year for the students..." Tom says.
"AND teachers... " Jenson says looking back and forth between Cassy and Tom. Tom squints his eyes at Jenson.
