Dont Cry

Today is the day of little Evie's first appointment. Which means rer first set of shots. Tom and Cassy stop at a starbucks and get coffee on the way. A few minutes later they arrive. Tom gets out and gets Evie in the car seat and Cassy carries the diaper bag. Both bringing their coffees inside. They go up and elevator and down a hall. Cassy opens the door and Tom and Evie go in first. They approach the desk.

"Hi how can i help you today?" The lady says.

"Hi mt daughter Evelynn Hiddleston has an appointment today with doctor Osborne." Tom says.

"Okay...your dad and thats mom?" She asks.

"Yes." He says.

"Okay...does she still have newborn medicaid?" She asks.

"Yes." Tom says.

"Alright, ive got you checked in. We will get you in just a moment." She says with a smile. Tom and Cassy sit down in the waiting room.

"Oh i dont know if im ready for this." Cassy says with a nervous chuckle.

"I know im nervous too. I dont want to hear her screaming." Tom says as he pushes Evie's hair back on her head. A few moments later a nurse comes out.

"Evelynn?" She says. Tom and Cassy get up and follow her. She leads them to a room.

"Name and date of birth please?" She says.

"Evelynn Hiddleston. July 1st 2017." Cassy says.

"Alrighty, you guys go ahead and get her undressed and we will go and get her height and weight." She says logging into the computer. Cassy begins to get her out of the carseat and Tom helps get her undressed. Startled from going to warm to cold she begins to cry. Tom holds her against his chest and tries to calm her down. She stops crying.

"Alright just follow me out here." She says. Tom and Cassy follow her right outside the room. Tom places her down on the table thats a weight machine and also can measure her height/length. Her arms fly out and she begins to cry. The nurse hurries up and gets her height and weight.

"Alright you guys can pick her up we are all done!" She says. Cassy picks her up and cradles her against her chest. They go back into the room and she plugs in her information.

"Alright, she is 10 pounds and 2 ounces and is 20 inches long!" She says.

"Oh my goodness shes getting big." Tom says looking to her. Evie has Cassy's hari wrapped in her little palm.

"She is! Gaining weight perfectly! Doctor Osborne will be in here in just a moment!" She says as she smiles and walks out. They sit there for a few moments and she comes in.

"Hello! How are we today?!" She says in a very chipper voice accompanied by an even chipper smile.

"Were doing good!" Tom says.

"I heard shes gaining weight beautifully!" She says as she sits down and looms at Evie.

"Alright, is she still breastfeeding?" She asks.

"She is." Cassy says.

"How many times a day and about how long do tou think?" She asks.

"Oh...pfft...uhm..about 6 times during the day maybe more and i would say about ten maybe 15 minutes before she passes out." Cassy tells her.

"Awesome...okay. any concerns? Have you noticed any allergies like seasonal ones or anything?" She asks.

"She hasnt really been outside too much yet, so no not that we know of." Cassy tells her.
