Daddy's Girl

Its the next day and they get to go home in just a few hours. Luckily Evelynn slept pretty well through out the night aside from Cassy having to wake her up to eat and change her diaper. Tom and Cassy puts her in her first outfit. For a girl they brought a little pair of dark purple pants and a white onesie that says Daddy's Girl and a cute dark purple hat that matches. The lettering is like a floral theme. Cute little white socks. They brought a nice and thick yellow blanket. The nurses have already removed Cassy's IV's and she is all ready to go. They're just filling out paper work for her birth certificate and social.

"Do you need a DNA test?" The nurse asks. Tom looks up eyes squinted and honestly appalled they would even ask.

"No." Tom says annoyed the tiniest bit.

"Okay, sorry its standard we ask." She says.

"Its okay i understand." Cassy says as she begins to get up. Tom does one last signature and quickly gets up to help her.

"Im just getting dressed honey." She says chuckling.

"Its okay, ill help you." Tom says. Knowing that hes going to help regardless she doesnt fight it. Tom grabs her bag and they go into the bathroom. Tom helps Cassy take off her shirt. Cassy quickly turns away from him.

"Whats wrong?" Tom asks worried.

"Nothing..just...nothing..." Cassy says as she pulls the shirt from the bag. Tom grabs her pants and socks out.

"Darling you can tell me..." Tom says in a soft calming tone. Cassy looks to him and stared at him for a moment.

"I just....i look different..." she says crossing her arms and turning towards him.

"Sweetheart...you just had a baby...." he says in a sympathetic tone.

"I know, i know...im just....i dont know...." she says. He can see her anxiety rising.

"Cassy...i didnt fall in love with your body....i fell in love with you...." he tells her.

"I....im just not use to it." Cassy tells him.

"I know...but itll be okay...let your body heal darling." He says as he tilts her face up by her chin. Tom leans in and kisses her. A smirk creeps from the corner of her mouth. Cassy continues getting dressed and they come out of the bathroom. A pediatrician for the hospital comes in.

"Good morning Hiddleston's! I think we are about ready to take little miss Evelynn for her eye and ear test and her carseat test." She tells them.

"Okay, how long will that take?" Tom asks.

"A couple hours. The car seat test alone is a little over an hour. About an hour fifteen." She tells him.

"Okay, ill go grab ghe carseat from the car." Tom says as he grabs his keys.

"Alright, as soon as we are done with the ear and eye test ill have a nurse come grab her car seat." She says as she begins to wheel Evelynn out in her hospital bassinet. Cassy watches like a hawk as they do. Tom looks to her and leans over and kisses her and rubs her back.

"Ill be right back okay?" He says.

"Okay." She says as she rubs her eyes. Tom kisses her one last time and walks out closing the door behind him. Cassy lays down and watches the television. She feels fine outside of her body being exhausted from hours of labor. Shes been able to keep herself calm and manage her stress so she can prevent a seizure. Cassy closes her eyes and falls asleep. A few minutes later Tom comes back in with the car seat. Seeing shes passed out. Tom sits down the car seat and quietly sits down and watches the television. Tom sitting there thinking about the long labor and how the whole time he did nothing but worry about her having a seizure. How scary it was. Luckily with the tremendous help of his self and the nurse they kept her cooled down and he kept rer calm. Evelynn came a little early but shes healthy and he couldnt be happier. Thirty minutes later a nurse comes in and quietly grabs the carseat and heads back out. Tom looks over at Cassy and begins to wonder what he can do to show her how much he loves and appreciates her. How great of a mother she already is. Tom gets up and heads down to the gift shop. After a long elevator ride he walks in. Seeing baby outfits and other baby essentials. Tom finds a necklace that says Mom. He delicately picks it up and carries it as he searches further. He finds bouquets of flowers. One has sunflowers and roses. Her favorite combination. Tom immediately picks it up and looks a little more. He doesnt really see anything else he know of she were here that she would look at. So Tom takes what he has and pays for them. Tom makes his way to the elevator and takes another long ride back up. He walks down the hallway and then walks into their room. When he does shes waking up. He immediately hides the flowers behind his back. She stretches and looks around and then sees him.
