Things in Mystic Falls were finally calm for once.  Klaus had found a way to create hybrids without fully killing Elena.  Elijah along with the two Salvatore brothers had become somewhat civil with one another but were still wary of everyone.  It was one evening that the two Mikaelson brothers, the Salvatore brothers, along with Elena's friends Caroline, Bonnie, Matt and Tyler along with Jeremy were all having a 'normal' dinner at the Gilbert house.  Jermy then decided to ask Elena a strange question.

"Hey Elena, have you talked to Val lately?" Jeremy asked as he lifted his fork full of pasta towards his mouth.

"No, I haven't talked to her since she left for Greece like a year ago." Elena replied as she took a sip of her drink, clearly not wanting to talk about her older sister.

"Who's Val," Stefan asked as he looked at the Gilbert siblings, causing Damon, Elijah, and Klaus to become curious.

"One of the smartest people we know." Caroline said with a small laugh.

"Yeah, her IQ made it possible for Val to graduate high school at 16," Matt said, "Tyler had a huge crush on her but like in three seconds she turned him down."

"Dude shut up. She wasn't even my soul-mate anyway." Tyler said as he looked at Caroline with love in his eyes.

"Why was she in Greece?" Elijah asked as he leaned forward on his folded hands.

However, before anyone could answer Elijah's question the sound of the front door opening caused everyone to get up and move towards the living room. When the door opened everyone saw that a young woman around 5'4" with chestnut brown hair, blue eyes, and tan skin walked into the home clearly on the phone. The woman didn't even notice the group as she walked into her old home still on the phone speaking Greek.

"Tha to synechíso Cassidy, aplós steíle mou tous fakélous tis ypóthesis (I'll keep on it Cassidy, just send me the case files.)," the woman said in Greek as she made her way into the dinning room as she headed towards the kitchen.

After the woman closed the front door and hung up the phone did she notice the people in the living room.  As she looked around her eyes landed on her two younger siblings, her sister's friends and four new faces to her.  When Jeremy came to his senses he ran towards his oldest sister.

"Valkyrie," Jeremy shouted as he hugged his older sister.

"Hey Jere, I've missed you. God you got tall," the woman, Valkyrie, said as she pulled away from the hug just to be pulled into a near bone crushing hug from Matt then followed by Tyler.

"Val, welcome home," Matt said.

"It's good to see you both too," Val got out of her two close friends arms.

Out of Elena's friends, Valkyrie was close to Matt and Tyler.  After hugging Tyler, Valkyrie looked over his shoulder to see who else was gathered in the living room.  She smiled at Bonnie and Caroline before her eyes fell onto her younger sister.  When Elena's eyes met her older sister's she couldn't help but to glare at Valkyrie.

"Why are you back," Elena asked harshly at her older sister.

"Um, if your tiny goldfish brain forgot, I do live here. Yes I was gone for 5 years for school but I can come home whenever I please." Valkyrie replied, a slight Greek accent slipping out.

From the doorway from the kitchen to the living room Damon, Elijah, Niklaus and Stefan watched the siblings.  All four men felt a slight tingling sensation on their right hip where their soul-mate soul-mark was located.  The four vampires looked at one another and immediately knew that this mystery woman was their shared soul-mate.

"Yeah, but where were you when mom and dad died, or even Aunt Jenna?" Elena asked as she crossed her arms across her chest while she glared at her older sister.

"Well Miss 'I don't talk to my older sister because she's a know it all' the reason why I didn't know about their deaths is because two siblings of mine decided not to tell me about them. Even Aunt Jenna didn't even bother to tell me about mom and dad. Great family I have," Valkyrie said with a note of sarcasm in her voice as she looked not just at Elena but Jermy too.

"I really wanted to tell you Val, but Elena said you were not really part of the family anymore," Jeremy thought as he looked away from his oldest sister.

Valkyrie sighed as she heard her brother's thoughts and gave him a small smile that he caught and he knew that she had read his mind. When he realized this he just rolled his eyes and groaned. Ever since Val could remember she was able to read minds along with some other unique gifts.

"So, when am I not part of the family anymore Elena?  Was it when I graduated high school at 16 then went off right away to college in New York, then to London, and finally Greece to get my Master's degree." Valkyrie nearly growled out towards his sister.

Elena just scoffed at her older sister.  The two sisters seemed to forget about everyone else in the room until Elijah cleared his throat.  This caused the two sisters to look at the Original vampire, Elena was glaring at him while Valkyrie was looking at him in annoyance.  However when Elijah and Valkyrie's eyes locked dead on both of them groaned out in pain as their soul-marks burned.

"Well, we should probably go guys.  It looks like Val has met her mate," Caroline said as she grabbed Tyler's hand along with Bonnie's, Matt following after them.

"WHAT! There's no way that Elijah is your soul-mate.  Why would he want a freaky mind reader like you as a mate?" Elena asked as she glared at her older sister.

Valkyrie immediately glared at Elena since no one other than her family knew of her mind reading ability.  All of Valkyrie's mates looked at one another shocked before they looked at their mate.  Elena couldn't help but to step back under the intense glare of the oldest Gilbert towards Stefan.  When Stefan looked at Valkyrie and their eyes met, both felt pain from their soul-marks.  Right away Valkyrie knew that she met two of her four soul-mates.
