Chapter 25 - Betrayal -

Oh boy here we go! Anyways, glad to see y'all again! This chapter is shorter than the rest as I solely wanted to focus on one thing. Hope you're ready!

"WHY?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?! WHY LIMIT MY QUIRK?!" Leizcio yelled making his way toward Lavania.

"Leizcio please! Just listen to me, I have a reason!" Lavania said backing up.

"THERE'S NO REASONING BEHIND THIS! YOU WERE TAKING AWAY THE ONE THING THAT HELPED ME GET A BETTER LIFE! THE DAMN REASON WHY I CAN EVEN GET TO LIVE OUT MY DREAM! AND YOU'RE TRYING TO TAKE THAT AWAY?!"

"LEIZCIO! Don't talk to me like that!" Lavania raised her tone in an attempt to get Leizcio to quiet down.

"YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO TRY AND TELL ME THAT?! AFTER YOU'VE PRACTICALLY BEEN DRUGGING ME?! WHEN DID THIS EVEN START?!" Leizcio questions, tears continuing to flow down his face, his throat getting that lump feeling.

"Look, I've been giving it to you since your first stunt as a vigilante. I've been giving it to you since that quirk of yours has been harming you Leizcio!"

"YOU THINK THAT SLOWING ME DOWN WAS GOING TO MAKE THINGS BETTER?! THINK THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!!" Leizcio yelled, sparks of electricity flying from his eyes as they continue to flow with tears.

"I've been doing my best to take care of you Leizcio! Did you expect me to suddenly agree for you to be a vigilante?!"

"NO, I NEVER ASKED FOR THAT, I KNEW IT WAS ON THE FLY BUT WHAT RIGHT DOES THAT GIVE YOU TO DRUG ME?!"

"The fact that you're just like mom! When you asked me about UA, I knew you were starting to get ideas in your head! Being a support gear maker was the safest route for you! I didn't want you to become a pro hero like mom and die helping others!"

Leizcio was already crying and seething with rage, but that sentence alone shattered him. Lavania was trying to stop him from being like the one person he admired. She must've been glad he was born quirkless. Never believed that he could be a hero and even tried to stop him from being one.

"The reason I gave it to you was for you to understand what could happen if you go down this path! Being a hero isn't having fun because you can use your quirk!"

"DO YOU THINK THAT'S WHAT THIS WHOLE VIGILANTE ACT WAS ABOUT?! I SAVED COUNTLESS PEOPLE USING MY QUIRK! IT WAS GIVEN TO ME FOR A REASON! EVEN IF I DID END UP AS A SUPPORT GEAR MAKER, I WAS GOING TO SAVE OTHERS BUT NOW I CAN DO IT WITH MY POWERS. WHY DO YOU NOT WANT ME TO?!"

"Because I don't want to end up alone and losing the last of my family!"

"DID IT EVER OCCUR TO YOU THAT WHAT YOU WERE DOING WAS THE ONE THING THAT COULD'VE KILLED ME?!" Leizcio shouted, remembering his encounter with the Shadow Beast Villain, the nomu, hell even the time he got caught by Hawks. Two times he could've died, and one time he could've gotten arrested.

Lavania had nothing to say to that, she didn't want to think it. Actually, that wasn't even the case, her heart knew it was wrong, but her mind kept telling her it was the right thing to do. She was too clouded by their mother's death, trying to prevent it from happening to Leizcio.

"Leizcio please, I'm sorry for what I did and I know it won't be easy to forgive me but please. Try and understand." Lavania said, trying to get Leizcio to calm down.

"UNDERSTAND?! I... I DON'T.... NO!!! I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS!!" Leizcio yelled shakily, his throat starting to get raspy.

Before Lavania could even say anything, Leizcio started to pack things from his room into bags at high speeds, leaving everything he's taking with him by the door. Returning to normal speed he looks back up at Lavania.

"Leizcio please..." Lavania said, tears starting to flow, hoping that he doesn't leave. But it was too late for that. Leizcio just shook his head. He wanted to say something but nothing could come out. He just left, leaving nothing but a blur behind.

Lavania just stood there, the warm tears bringing the only warmth she felt. The worse that she had feared had happened.

She ended up losing the only family she had.
