⤷ THREE; Home ⤶

ONE WOULD NOT EXPECT SUCH A GAZE FROM A BOY UNLOVED, BUT HIS EYES LIT UP AT HER SMILE AND THAT SHOCKED ME TO MY CORE

September 1st 1938,

ELAENA DAWSON LOOKED LIKE AN ANGEL as she slept against the train window, Tom almost didn't want to wake her but when a group older students came to the door they watch as he shook her awake gently. Slits in their eyes as they watched Elaena smile sheepishly at him.

"We've arrived, El." He was so soft spoken, she barely heard his words.

All of their belongings, Stormy included, were gone so they didn't have to worry about carrying them. Together they stepped out of the train, shivering at the cold air that hit their faces.

"Follow that ancient looking guy over there Laena." Daphne, her eldest sister spoke into her ear before walking off with the rest of her siblings to a carriage. With her instructions, Elaena and Tom walked towards the man wearing grey and blue robes standing at the end of the platform.

Sticking closely to Tom as they made their way to the said man at the end of the platform, nervousness filling their stomachs as the said man motioned him to gather together. "Welcome first years please if you will follow me." His delicate voice spoke before everyone began following closely behind him, arriving near a black lake. Small wooden boats in front of them.

"No more than four to a boat please." Elaena's eyes were swept towards the carriages her siblings were on. The beautiful skeleton like creature that pulled them were magnificent, her siblings nodded to her as she waved before allowing the carriage to take off.

With Tom's help she was carefully sat on the boat "Onward." The man in the robes spoke loudly and they were off towards the castle. The ride was rather noisy as the two boys in the boat with them spoke loudly, splashing the lake water at other boats.

━━━ THOUGH LOOKING UP AT THE CASTLE, a feeling of dread filled Elaena's stomach. As beautiful as it was, it was different and she wasn't sure how she would survive without her father by her side. Hearing her fathers stories of Hogwarts were much different than actually being there.

The sight of her new home gave her a little sense of comfort, knowing that she could finally use magic and make friends. Slowly all her of her fears washed away with a small smile from her new friend.

Hopefully her new home would be more welcoming that her own home.
