Ethan's POV
I heard we were getting new neighbors today. Sighing, I look out my window at the house that they were to live. There was a forest behind that I'd go to often. "Hey Danni!" I call pausing my music, "Can I go to the forest?" "'Course Ethan!" My roommate dips her head in, "I'm going to be with the Team later, just so you know." I nod and grab my trench coat, running downstairs and opening the front door and yell and goodbye to Danni, walking out to be greeted with a moving van in front of the house I had just been staring at. "Am I unobserved or what?" I walk over and introduce myself. "Hi," a brunette teen puts down a giant box down and leans on it, "I'm Sub, your new neighbor." I can help be say I was taken aback by his features. Under his bangs he had a bandage covering his eye. "What happened?" I asked and Sub shrugged. "Not now, I just got here so there's plenty of time to explain myself." I nod, "Want some help?" Sub smiles, "that would be great! Just put the boxes in the kitchen." I nod and start moving some boxes into the kitchen.

After that Sub nods, "Thank you..." He pauses. "Ethan!" I chim and laugh a little, "Sorry. Anyway, do you want to come to the forest with me? I have a spot I know like the back of my hand." Sub considers it, then smiles, "Sure! Just let me grab my phone." Sub runs upstairs leaving me alone. "He's really not a bad looking guy..." My thoughts wander till I see Sub coming down the stairs. I stand close to the last step and Sub trips, falling right into my chest. I blush hard and look down, "You ok dude?" "Yeah," Sub says standing up, "Just clumsy." I nod and walk out the door, putting on some Monster Cat and offering Sub and earbud. He takes it and puts it in, walking closer to me so it doesn't fall out. We walk into the forest and I lead him to 'my spot'. Over rocks and under branches we come to a small spot that had a fallen tree and a bench and a stump for a table. We sit and Sub looks around smiling. I hesitantly throw an arm around Sub and pull him close, motioning for him to look toward the deer that had stopped in the clearing. A doe looks at use and trots over. I slowly pull some fruit from my pocket and hold it out for her. She sniffs and eats it. Sub looks utterly mesmerized and the deer sniffs him, which makes Sub jump a bit. The doe didn't run though, but simply sat with us. Sub looks up at me, awestruck. I smile and take a picture and to our shock a wolf comes into the clearing as well. Sub moves closer and the doe lifts her head. For this beast I had nothing, so I did the one thing I thought to do. I outstretched a hand and let the wolf walk forward at her own pace. Sub, in the spur of the moment, hugs me close. The wolf sniffs my hand, "I'm either losing five digits or getting a new friend."

Time slows as the wolf sniffs...sniffs...sniffs. Then the beast rubs against my hand, a once in a lifetime sight. Sub gasps and I turn to see him smiling. The wolf sits at me feet and looks up. She looks at Sub then me and gives a smile and a knowing look. A smile back at the wolf and she turns to the doe that had sat itself by us. The do puts her head down and the wolf lies next to the doe. I smile and Sub pulls out his phone, taking two pictures. I could hear the clicks. I pull Subs phone out of his hands and pull up his pictures. Sub reaches for his phone but I'm too quick. I see a picture of the wolf and doe then a picture of me. I was looking at the wolf and the doe. Sub blushes, "That-That was an accident." "I don't think so," I give his phone back to him, "Keep it, it's a good one." Sub nods and quickly puts his phone back in his pocket, turning his head in embarrassment. The wolf picks up her and give Sub a sympathetic look then looks at me and moves her head in a 'comfort him' motion. The doe adds a reinforcing nod. I nod and move closer to Sub and he jumps. I just smile and throw an arm around him. Sub is bright red and a feel a rain drop on my head. The wolf and the doe get up and run back into the forest and we get up and the rain starts to come down. We run through the forest and out in the open. The rain comes down faster and Sub grabs my hands, spinning in the rain. I smile, "Sub what the heck!?" He grins, "Hey at least a didn't throw you!" I nod and look him up and down, "Here,"I put my trench coat around his shoulders and throw an arm around him. We walk to his house and we walk inside. Sub throws me a towel and I thank him. I dry off and look in the doorway to see Sub standing there. His hair drips and he just stares, "Probably daydreaming." I walked forward and place the towel on Sub's head. He snaps out of his daydream and looks up, startled. I just smile and dry his hair. I leave the towel on his head and he moves his bangs out out how eyes, well make that eye, and looks at me, smiling. "You never told me what happened to your eye," I remark when we sit down on his couch. Sub sighs, "I was fighting a squid and it got at my eye..." his eyes tear up, "Seto says that my eye can work again, but he put this over just in case," he gestures to the bandaged eye. I nod and make myself right at home, laying down with my head resting on Sub's side. He moves and lies next to me. I turn, "you were a good pillow," and snuggle into his chest. I can feel the blush on his face and smile, hugging him closer making him blush more. I look up and smile, "Hi." Sub is bright red, "Am I now your teddy bear?" I smile more, "Yes."
