With the quidditch season in full swing, it was difficult for Jake to find time to spend with Jungwon and Sunoo. Luckily, he was able to slip in a single get-together with the younger boys. It was Sunday afternoon and the trio agreed to go to Hogsmeade to finally get some much-needed time away from the chaos that is Heeseung, Jay, Sunghoon, and Niki. It felt just like the old days when they only had each other. They browsed around the area for some time before taking a rest at the Three Broomsticks Inn. In front of each one sat a tall glass of butterbeer and many unspoken words. Sunoo takes it upon himself to break the silence.
"Jake hyung, aren't you excited for the final quidditch match?" Sunoo asked curiously.
"Yep, Hufflepuff team is going to crush Gryffindor," Jake says with confidence overflowing.
"As much as I love you and our house, I'll be cheering for Gryffindor," Jungwon throws in. Jake looks at him with betrayal painted across his face.
"What!? How could you betray me for Jay? The disrespect," Jake almost yells in distress. Jungwon looks at him and shrugs ever so nonchalantly. Sunoo laughs at the short exchange between the two Hufflepuffs, glad that his house has no involvement in the matter. The boys wrap up their conversation and decide to head back to Hogwarts, all very much in need of some rest.
Upon arriving back at the castle Jungwon is snatched away by Jay, Sunoo heads on his way to tutor Niki, and Jake is left by himself. He walks lost in his thoughts back to his room. With the final quidditch match quickly approaching saying that he is feeling stressed would be an understatement. With the pressure of being team captain falling on him, the fear of losing only worsens. He worries that people will be able to see through his fake confidence. Amidst his suffocating thoughts, an arm grabs him out of nowhere, pulling him into what appears to be an off-limits room. Once he recovers from the initial shock, he looks up to come face to face with none other than Park Sunghoon. How could he forget, the outcome of this quidditch game also decides the future of their relationship. Sunghoon, sensing Jake's stress, pulls him into a hug, trying his best to reassure the shorter boy.
"Hey, what's going on in that beautiful mind of yours?" Sunghoon asks in a soft voice. Jake says nothing, opting to hold onto Sunghoon even harder. Several moments seem to pass before Jake is able to say anything.
"Just the usual stuff, stressing over quidditch, worrying about the team, worrying about where this relationship is heading," Jake almost cries out. The Ravenclaw prefect looks at the Hufflepuff boy with eyes filled with concern.
"I know it's not easy, but everyone knows how hard you're trying to help the team. I've overheard Jongseob rave about how great of a leader you are. Hufflepuff is lucky to have someone as amazing as you. In regards to us, there's nothing to worry about, no matter the outcome I'll still be by your side," Sunghoon seems to say all too easily.
"Thank you," Jake whispers for only Sunghoon to hear. Sunghoon grabs Jake by the chin and places a kiss against his lips. Before Sunghoon can pull away, Jake holds onto Sunghoon's face, dragging the moment on longer. Sunghoon makes no effort to stop him.
A week has passed since the incident that occurred between Jake and Sunghoon. It's the day before the final quidditch match and Jungwon is doing his best to prevent Jay from exploding out of stress. With it being Heeseung's last quidditch match as captain, Jay wants so badly to win. He wants to let Heeseung's last moments with the Gryffindor team be a good one. Jungwon being the amazing and wonderful boyfriend he is listens as Jay goes on about how Gryffindor needs to win. This rant then starts to diverge in multiple directions and Jay ends up making one fatal mistake.
"As if I'm not already swamped from quidditch, Sunghoon decided to vent to me about his worries in regard to Jake. Like why can't they just get on with it already..." Jay slaps a hand over his mouth, realizing how he slipped up. Jungwon catches this mistake, and if something involves Jake, he's not going to let things slide.
