"Hey Dom, let's go wake up Lux, the van is coming in a few minutes." Lou said standing in the doorway to my room.
I agreed and followed Lou into Lux's room. Two walls were covered in a teal and white paisley design while the other two walls were white, but decorated thoroughly. The two white walls were entirely covered with pictures of Lux making silly faces, sleeping, running, and doing anything really. Lou walked over to the crib with me and gently said Lux's name to wake her. She rubbed her arm with her finger as Lux's eyes opened.
"Hi pumpkin. Did you sleep well? This is Dom. She's going to take care of you a lot for mommy, ok?" Lou said in her baby voice.
I smiled at Lux and reached a finger out to her. She held it and smiled. I lifted her out of the crib once she released my finger and held her in my arms. She was already in a yellow dress with her hair on top of her head in a clip. We walked downstairs as I slung my pocketbook over my shoulder. Lou put another bag over my shoulder that held Lux's diapers, toys, food, and milk. As we walked out the door, a black van was waiting for us. Lou carried out Lux's car seat as we strapped her in. Lou got the rest of her makeup luggage inside as the driver helped us put everything in the car.
Lou chatted incessantly about the boys and how wonderful they were as I occupied Lux throughout the car ride. I kind of let her words in one ear and out the other; all boys were basically the same. Only worried about themselves and whether or not they would get what they want from girls. All the boys I had ever met were coated with arrogance, selfishness, and cockiness. I didn't give a damn of the five more I was going to meet now and see quite often.
We pulled up behind another black van, that I immediately realized was the boy's. Security guards lined the car creating a fortress the fan's couldn't break through. A boy with a black quiff hopped out first, followed by a boy with a birthmark on his neck and brown short hair. Another boy jumped out with tousled brown hair as someone called out "Louis!" A blonde boy then followed him out and flashed a smile to the fans. And then suddenly, a boy with deep green eyes and brown curly hair walked out of the van smoothly. He gave a closed lip smile to the fans and then looked towards our van. He saw me staring through the window, and we locked eyes. I quickly looked away as heat rushed to my cheeks. I felt like he stared through my soul. I unbuckled Lux as Lou jumped out of the van as a security guard who came over to help us. He took Lou's equipment and walked us in as I carried Lux and my two bags.
As soon as the doors opened for us, the boy with the green eyes and curly brown hair waited for us. His head perked up as he saw us walk in.
"Harry! Hi, hun! How are you? Did the rest of the boys already go into the room to get ready?" Lou beamed.
"Yup. I'm great, how have you been Lou?" Harry hugged Lou and walked over to Lux and I, as he poked Lux's nose with his finger and smiled at her. Lux lit up as Harry spoke and smiled at her.
"Ah, who's this? I'm Harry. Harry Styles." he gave me a wink and held out his hand with a smirk on his face.
"I'm Dominique, Lux's new nanny." I said shaking his hand.
"Cool. I guess I'll be seeing you a lot then. All of us will. Come meet the boys."
I raised my eyebrows and blew some air out of mouth as I forced a smile. This was nerve racking. He walked in the place like he owned it. He was smooth, charming, and devastatingly handsome. Damn it. I've never been this jittery about a boy.
We walked down the large hallway to a dressing room. The boys were all hanging out, waiting for Lou to prep them for the interview. They stopped talking as we walked in, and stared at us. They subtly stared at me up and down, naturally wondering who the hell I was.
