I got back into the passenger seat and Tristin put his skateboard in the trunk. I smiled to my self, we nearly kissed.
He got in the drivers seat and started up the engine. "I.H.O.P?"
"Definitely." As sad as it sounded, I was exited to go the International House Of Pancakes as i'd never been before. "So now we just need to do your picture, what are you thinking?"
"I got one."
"Huh?"
"I got one of you running down the hill, I hope that's ok, because you just looked really...free."
He smiled, still keeping his eyes on the road. I smiled looking out of the window too. He turned the radio up and a fast song by Ellie Goulding came on, and it was strangely appropriate. It was about a boy and a girl having a lot of fun together. And that anything could happen. And with me and Tristin, I really did think anything could happen.
"So Miss England, you know A LOT about me, but I don't know nearly enough about you." Crap, he'd worked out my plan.
"There's not really much to tell." He scoffed.
"I bet there is, you're just not telling me."
"Well what do you want to know?"
"What's your favourite show, favourite music artist, favourite word, favourite colour, animal... I don't know.. even your favourite perfume for god sake anything!?"
"Miss Dior."
"Huh?"
"My favourite perfume, it's Miss Dior." He started laughing uncontrollably. "What!?"
"Out of all those questions, that's the one you answered?" He looked at me and raised his perfect eye brows. "Do you really think ever since I saw you in English, that's what I wanted to know about you?" He said, still laughing.
"Ever since you saw me in English?" He stopped laughing, realising he'd let it slip. He looked at the road, then at me, then at the road again. "Well yeah." There was an awkward silence while he worked out what he wanted to say. "Well it was like, when I saw you, I just...wanted to get to know you. Like, EVERYTHING about you." He smiled a cute nervous smile, and then he blushed. Aww he looked so cute. "I just wanted to impress you, stand out from all the other guys at school, in that class. Because, well, you stood out to me." He shyly looked across at me. My eyes were wide open with my concentrating face on. I was concentrating on every single word he said, and then I realised it was my turn to talk.
"Wow." That was all I said, wow. God I could have kicked my self.
"I know, deep right." Tristin laughed nervously, clearly still waiting for a response to his emotional out burst.
"I felt exactly the same." I said just as we came to a stop light. He looked across at me.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah." He smiled, no, not even smiled. Grinned. From ear to ear. Then he took my hand. With his other on the steering wheal we drove the rest of the way to I.H.O.P in a comfortable silence. It was only then that I realised he'd turned the radio down before his speech. I knew when I got home I was defiantly going to have to buy that song on iTunes.

We pulled in to the car park of the restaurant and he got out and ran to open my door for me, I twisted both legs around keeping my knees close together remembering I was wearing a dress and he pulled me out, gripping my hand firmly. They were so warm.
After our talk in the car I felt strangely confident around him, like the confidence i'd lost when we landed had finally found me again. "I just realised, I don't even know your surname!"
