[y/n] your name [l/n] your last name

You pointed the flashlight at the three play structures in front of you. You couldn't see any sign of Moon, or the generators you were meant to turn on. Your heart was beating against your ribcage and you could imagine Gregory's was doing the same.

"We need to find a weapon or something..." you muttered.

Gregory let out a breathy and nervous laugh. "In the daycare? Good luck."

You loudly exhaled through your nose, your grip on the flashlight tightening. "Okay okay, let's go for real this time."

You looked both ways for Moon before running across the soft floor, Gregory followed closely behind. You ducked into the play structure on the far right. Straight away you noticed a faint purple glow and Gregory walked in front of you to move towards it. You rounded a corner and your eyes landed on the first generator. Gregory pushed down the leaver and it made a loud sound while it powered on. You cringed, hoping it wouldn't attract Moon.

Like clockwork, the slow menacing voice sounded throughout the daycare. "Goodnight..."

Gregory gave you a grossed out look as you continued on. Once you made it to the next floor of the structure you both had to crawl on your hands and knees, requiring you to hold the flashlight in your mouth. You spotted a thick black cord on the floor, and you crawled behind Gregory to the second generator. To your delight, the Moon had yet to enter the play structure.

You took the flashlight out of your mouth and whispered, "how many do you think there are?"

Gregory kept moving, "I don't know. I guess we keep looking for them until the power turns back on."

A red tube connected the right structure to the one in the middle. You placed the flashlight between your teeth once more, despite the discomfort it caused. The sound of both you and Gregory's hands and knees hitting the inside of the plastic tunnel sounded loudly throughout the daycare.

A loud bang sounded on the tube above you. "Bad children must be punished..." The Moon sneered.

Your soul practically jumped out of your skin as you looked up. The shadow of long slender fingers was visible as the thing crawled along the tube. Unable to speak due to the flashlight, you hummed at Gregory to speed up. He started crawling faster and he finally emerged out the other side. You thrusted your body out of the tube behind him. The Moon stared down at you through the cage-like structure that separated you. He tilted his head and his glowing red eyes dug into both of you.

Gregory tugged on your arm. "C'mon [Y/n]!"

You scrambled to get back on your hands and knees and follow him. Almost missing it, you left Gregory's side and rounded a corner to the faint glow. You pushed the third generator on and it roared to life. When the power still didn't come on, your heart sank a bit. Whose idea was it to spread these generators out where the kids play anyways?

Your clammy hands began to stick to the surface of the play structure and you could feel beads of sweat dripping down your face. You and Gregory made your way down to the second floor of the structure. Suddenly, you heard clicking behind you. You turned and were met with the now unfortunately familiar grey face. The flashlight dropped from your mouth while a scream-like sound made its way out of your throat.

The flashlight started to roll away and you quickly snatched it before being pulled down to the first floor by Gregory. "We have to hurry [Y/n]!" He exclaimed.

"Nighty night..." Moon croaked.

The first floor of the structures were tall enough that you didn't have to crawl. Your heart lifted a bit at the sight of another black cord. You rounded a corner, almost sliding and tripping in the process. You pushed down the handle and waited a few seconds. After the power didn't turn on you groaned.
