[y/n] your name [l/n] your last name [p/g] preferred guardian (mom, dad, aunt, step dad, grandma, ect.) this story will be in the pov of a feminine person with she/her pronouns but i don't think this should stop anyone from enjoying it :)

You nervously sat at your desk looking out the window. It was May 10, 2025, 10 days and 10 hours after you submitted your application to be a lead soloist for Fazbear Entertainment. The position was a bit cheesy and maybe a little embarrassing, but it was the closest you could get to being a 'real' singer. You had loved singing ever since you could remember, and you were pretty good at it too. The closest you had gotten to stardom was family parties and assemblies at your schools growing up, but it wasn't enough anymore. You wanted to be in the spotlight, and even though you were nervous you knew you had to follow your dreams.

Your [p/g] knocked on your door. "[y/n] can I come in?" You walked over to your door and opened it. They smiled at you and walked in while you stepped to the side. "How's it going? Have you heard back from that mall yet?"

You walked away from the door and sat on your bed with a huff. "No, not yet, do you think they'll email me or what?" You were sure that they got a lot of auditions and you hadn't auditioned for many other things in your life so you had no idea how long it would take. Although being a member of an animatronic band didn't pay very well, the Pizzaplex was becoming more and more popular and their YouTube channel was increasing in subscribers every hour. Fazbear Entertainment was working towards becoming one of the biggest chains in the U.S., owning at least five restaurant locations in each state, and most states had at least one in each mid-sized town. The Pizzaplex was the first of its kind and it was located in Salt Lake City, Utah, so you could only imagine how many customers it got being in the state's capitol.

Your [p/g] leaned against the wall next to your door while they looked past you out the window. "I don't know, maybe they'll send it in the mail or something. Are you sure you want to go all the way to Salt Lake? I'll be able to come visit and watch your shows sometimes but I can't move there with you." They pressed their lips in a line and looked at you, folding their arms in a displeased way.

You pulled your legs to your chest and placed your chin on them. You played with a loose string on one of your stuffed animals to avoid eye contact. "I know I'll be on my own but I think it would be good to get out of my comfort zone. And I probably won't even get it anyways, their youtube channel has like, a billion subscribers, and I'm sure so many people want that kind of publicity." You frowned at the thought. You hadn't gotten your hopes up about the possibility of it but it would be such a great way to kickstart your dream.

Your [p/g] walked over and sat next to you, placing their arm around you. "Hey, I really want this for you. I'm just worried, you know? You haven't really been on your own before and it can be stressful, but I'll probably be more stressed about you than you'll be stressed about taking care of yourself. And I have no idea what I'll do around here while you're gone." They smiled and ruffled your hair a bit.

You exhaled through your nose with a small smile and smoothed your hair back into place. "I really wouldn't worry if I were you. Like I said, lots of people probably auditioned and yeah..." You did your absolute best in your audition videos, even trying to put together your best 'glam rock' outfit which consisted of an ugly leopard print shirt you've never worn (and probably never will again) and thick hot pink hoops that you found in the discount bin of an antique store. You had to use an old karaoke machine that's been in the closet for years to get the effect of a microphone, but even then you sounded really good in your videos, you just had to hope others didn't sound better.

Later that night after dinner you got a notification from instagram. It was from the Fazbear Entertainment official instagram account, which of course you turned post notifications on for after auditioning. You clicked on the bar and were directed to their page. The picture was of a smiling young adult holding up a paper with Fazbear's logo and the words, "Congratulations!" underneath. Your heart dropped and you couldn't help but feel disappointed. What did she do that you didn't?

You walked into the living room and held your phone out for your [p/g] to see. They took the phone out of your hand and squinted at it, like adults do whenever you try to show them something on your phone. "What? Did she get it?" They handed your phone back and looked up at you.

You shoved your phone into your back pocket and sat next to them on the couch they were on. "Yeah I guess." You tried your best to look nonchalant and not sad and slightly embarrassed that you didn't do better.

"Awww [y/n]." They pulled you closer to them on the couch. "Everything happens for a reason, okay? Do you want to go get ice cream or something?" A sympathetic smile was plastered on their face.

"Obviously."

The rest of the week went normally and it bled into the next. You continued to feel disappointed about your rejection and although you would give yourself time to get over it you knew you needed to start on the next thing in your life. You applied to a few jobs at other restaurants and grocery stores. Most of your friends had summer jobs and you felt a bit left out being the only one without your own money. Even if these jobs wouldn't help with your dream of being a singer, at least you would have some experience to put on your resumé. While you were sitting in your backyard eating a popsicle in the warm May weather your phone rang. You wouldn't normally answer an unknown number but you assumed it was the grocery store you had most recently applied to. You pressed the green button on the screen.

"Hello?"

A feminine voice responded. "What do you think of white rabbits?"

You were confused and brought your phone down to check the number again. Not recognizing it in the slightest you pressed your phone back to your ear. "Who is this?" Then three dings sounded to notify you that the number hung up. What they said wasn't especially creepy but it definitely weirded you out so you blocked it from your recent calls list.

A few minutes later your phone rang again, this time from a number starting with (435), a number you recognized as being the area code for Utah.

"Hello?" You hoped it wouldn't be some creep again.

"Hi! Is this [y/n] [l/n]?" This time, a less sinister more customer service type voice rang out on the other line.

"Hi! Yeah it is!" You became excited yet nervous at the possibility of getting a new job.

"My name is Genevieve Bexley and I'm the talent representative for Fazbear Entertainment. You auditioned for the band a couple weeks ago and we wanted to follow up with you."

Your heart began to race. Fazbear's?! Didn't they already find someone? "Um, yeah I did! But didn't someone already get the position?" You started absentmindedly biting at your thumbnail.

The woman on the other line responded, "yes, Alora was our choice for the audition but due to some health concerns she is no longer able to take the position. You were our next choice. We sincerely apologize for how short notice this is but we would love for you to be a new and integral part of our family here at Fazbear Entertainment! We understand if you are no longer able to accept our offer..." she trailed off and waited for you to reply.

A huge smile crept up to your face and your popsicle had melted onto the warm concrete without you even noticing. You tried to conceal your excitement and appear calm and composed. "Yeah I would love to!"

You could practically hear the relief in Genevieve's voice. "That's great! I have some documents for you to sign and it would be great if you could print them out. There will also be a file with a picture of our logo and a congratulations sign at the bottom. We ask that you send a picture of yourself holding it so we can post it on the company's instagram. Can I use the email on your audition packet to send them to you?"

"Yes, that would be perfect." You were grinning from ear to ear and you couldn't wait to run inside and tell your [p/g].

Seeing a photo of you pop up on Fazbear Entertainments instagram page that night made everything feel so much more real and exciting, and you couldn't wait to go to Salt Lake.
