[y/n] your name [l/n] last name

You felt at ease now that you knew the animatronics weren't bloodthirsty monsters but they really did want to help Gregory. Walking out of Freddy's greenroom you heard loud crashes and roars coming from Monty's room. You quickly walked past the angry gator and towards a door on the other side of Rockstar Row. A large red sign indicated that only authorized personnel were to enter, so you scanned your security badge and stepped inside.

A long staircase stood in front of you and you began your assent, clicking on your flashlight to illuminate the dark corridor. The sound of Monty's tantrum grew distant as you reached the top of the stairs. Large doors depicting things like guitars and microphones slid open for you as you walked through. Finally, you entered a room with computer monitors along both sides, and large tvs depicting the surrounding security feed.

An old looking disk on the long desk, which you felt was worth grabbing. There was also a Freddy head containing another security upgrade. Although your previous encounters with them were less than safe you pressed it, knowing the animatronics weren't out to get you. An alarm began to sound throughout the office.

"Ms.[l/n]...." Freddy's raspy voice sounded throughout some speakers, clearly in need of fixing. "W-what did you do? So-something happened... I can communicate a-again! I think-nk you fixed my signal, th-thank you." You turned and saw his face glitching along a few of the monitors.

"Freddy! I didn't know that you could stand up." You heard Gregory's voice through the speakers as well.

"Consider it a... s-second wind." He responded.

"I'm so glad you guys are okay!" You spoke to the duo. Suddenly, you heard banging at one of the office doors. "Ah.. Roxy and Monty want to come inside too."

"D-do not let them in. The s-security doors should be st-strong enough to keep them o-out." Freddy replied.

"Well actually... I ran into Roxy earlier and she just talked to me like normal." You spoke.

"So they're only out to get me?! Are you kidding me?!" Gregory groaned somewhere behind Freddy.

"Well, maybe they really do want to help you Gregory! They haven't caught you yet so we don't know their intentions." You frowned.

"What?! Don't you remember what that moon thing did to us!?"

You pondered for a moment. "Ah.. I don't really know what that was about... maybe he's just different from the others?"

"Pshh yeah right! Didn't you hea-"

Freddy interrupted Gregory before he could go on further. "Ms.[l/n] please s-stay safe. Gregory a-and I are coming to your l-location. Do you see that large vent i-in the floor? You are proba-bably standing right on top o-of it." You looked down and you were, in fact, standing on a large vent. Freddy continued, "if I c-can reach the roo-oom under y-you, I should be able to force it open a-and let you o-out."

"Okay, sounds good." You looked over at Roxy and Monty on the monitors by the doors.

"All th-the doors seem to be on lockdown... hmmm... Ms.[l/n] p-please look for me on the m-monitors. If you see-ee me waving, push-sh the button on the c-corresponding monitor to open th-the door.

"Alright, got it." You eyed the buttons he was talking about.

Freddy disappeared from the monitors and was replaced with the same woman in the rabbit costume from earlier. You backed up into the desk behind you as you stared at her wide-eyed.

"There you are. See you soon!" She spoke slowly and it seriously creeped you out.

"F-freddy!" You stuttered out and he was back on the monitors again.

He was on a different monitor now, Gregory by his side as they both waved for you to open the door. You assumed they weren't able to hear you anymore. You slammed your hand down on the button and they quickly entered through the door. You watched them get closer to you on the cameras while you tried to tune out Roxy and Monty's attempts to enter the office. You were sure they wouldn't attack you if you let them in but you didn't want to risk opening the door and letting the rabbit lady with the knife slip in.

You continued pressing the buttons that enabled Gregory and Freddy to reach you. Finally, Freddy was underneath the vent. You stood back as he reached up and used his strong arms to pry in open.

"It i-is safe for you to jump down M-Ms.[l/n]! I will c-catch you!" Freddy called up.

It was certainly nerve wracking jumping down into the dark, but you trusted Freddy. You closed your eyes and jumped down. Almost instantly strong arms wrapped around you and safely placed you down on the floor.

"Ah... thank you."  You looked up at Freddy.

A wide grin spread across his face. "I-I am so glad that you a-are safe. When I p-powered on again and saw only G-Gregory by my side I b-became worried."

You were unsure if a robot could worry about things, but you were grateful that he seemed to care about you.

"Oh, I wasn't able to find any lift controls, I'm sorry. All I found was another security badge and this disk." You held up the disk for him to see.

He looked down and you noticed he was still clutching his stomach and twitching. You needed to help him fast.

"Follow me to the a-atrium. You have found a program d-disk for one of the stage sh-shows, the same one we performed together yesterday. If y-you use it in the sound booth, you should b-be able to r-run a showtime program wh-which will activate the lift. I can carry b-both of you if you'd like."

"No Freddy, it's okay, you're hurt." You responded.

He began to protest when he doubled over and clutched his stomach harder. The bear's ears drooped and he began to limp towards the atrium, you and Gregory following behind. The only sound was Freddy's uneven metallic footsteps.

At the end of the dimly lit maintenance hallway Freddy clumsily pushed open a door that opened up to the vast neon atrium. You walked out and Gregory looked around warily.

"G-Gregory... Ms.[l-l/n]... m-my sys-systems-ms a-are fa-ailing. G-go to the s-sound bo-booth o-on th-the third-ird floor balcony-ny-ny. R-run the perfor-formance pro-program on th-that di-disk the-then me-me-meet me b-back on th-the stage. Please hu-hury-ry-ry. We do not ha-ha-have m-much time-me. It i-is almost-st the e-end of-of the h-hour. I w-will wait he-he-here." Freddy stumbled over his words and it sounded like he was in pain, if animatronics could be in pain.

You frowned and turned to Gregory. "Let's hurry."

He nodded and you began your ascent up the stairs.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed!
