You stumbled/fell out of the vent, barely missing Gregory. Luckily he didn't notice.
"Yes! We found it!" He exclaimed, looking around the security office.
Your knees hurt from banging them around the vents so you plopped down onto the security office's black swivel chair. You spun around towards the desk and noticed another small Freddy head, similar to the one in the daycare.
"Is this the thing that has the security badge in it?" You tried to pry it open, with no luck.
Gregory walked over. "You're supposed to press its nose."
You pressed the black nose-like button and the Freddy head opened, displaying another updated security badge. A small squeaking sound came from the nose, practically begging wandering children to press it and gain their own security passes. You grabbed the card. Suddenly, the screens that displayed security footage of various areas around the office turned to static and a loud alarm began to blare.
A voice echoed throughout the office. "Emergency lockdown activated. This area is off-limits to guests."
"No, no, no! What happened!" Gregory looked around frantically.
"I don't know! All I did was take the badge!" You exclaimed.
Freddy's voice faintly game through on Gregory's watch, clearly having poor connection. "D-do not pa-nic-ic. Tha-at office i-is now on lo-lockdown." I can-can deactivate-te the alarm, but i-it w-will take s-som-me ti-ime."
"Shoot! [y/n] the others are gonna follow the alarm and be in here any minute!" Gregory shouted.
You quickly scanned the office and scrambled to press the red button next to the left door. "Go shut the other door!"
Gregory complied and shut the right door. A glowing blue meter stood on the other side of each door, which you both presumed was the amount of power the office doors contained.
"I bet you don't even have friends..." Gregory jumped as Roxy's voice accompanied by some banging sounded from the door he was next to.
He looked down at his watch. "There's a corridor we can use to get out of here! We just need to sneak past them!"
"C'mon kid, we're only tryin' ta help!" Monty banged on the door Roxy wasn't at and the blue meter flashed before going down.
"How are we supposed to get out with them guarding the doors like this?" You realized how dry your mouth had become due to fear.
"Why are you asking me? I'm the little kid here!" Gregory exclaimed.
"Oh please. You're a little kid when you're scared but when you're not you boss me around?" You rolled your eyes.
Gregory gave a mischievous grin that faltered when more banging sounded from one of the doors.
"Maybe we should just find somewhere to hide in here and then sneak past once the power goes out and they start moving around in here?" You offered. "We can't see if they're outside the doors so I think that might be our best bet, although it's risky."
"Okay but if I die you're getting charged with child neglect." Gregory responded.
"Whatever you say." You looked around for a place to hide that would allow you to quietly slip out the doors once they opened.
There was a janitorial bin pushed up against the wall that you and Gregory would probably be able to squeeze into although quietly climbing out would be a challenge. In a life or death situation like this you figured you would both be able to manage.
