Just The Summer: 3 Years Earlier

Callie was sitting in her living room with her friends, Lillie and Liam. They were watching a hockey game, at Liam's request seeing as it was the one sport he didn't play. Callie was sitting on the left side of the couch, Liam was beside her, and Lillie was on his other side.

"I really don't understand this sport Liam.." Callie spoke softly, her brows furrowed together as another player took a massive hit. "Please don't ever play this sport.." She turned her head towards him slightly.

Liam chuckled softly and turned his head towards her, leaning over slightly. "I promise Cal. I won't ever play hockey. I just like watching it."

Callie smiles and leans in slightly and whispers, "Good. I don't like when you get hurt in football.."

Liam smiles as he leans in closer and whispers, "I try to avoid the hits but sometimes its inevitable, babe.."

Lillie fake gags, then starts laughing. "Oh my god, will you two just admit it already? Jesus Liam, just ask her out already."

Callie pulled back, her cheeks turning a soft pink. "Lil! Stop!!" She covered her cheeks with her hands.

Liam chuckles softly, ignoring Lillie as he continues looking at Callie. "Hey, Lillie? Get out."

Lillie's eyes widened, but she knew not to argue. She grabbed her things and left, waving to Callie and wiggling her eyebrows. Once she was out of the house, Callie looked back at Liam.

"So uhm.. hi.." Callie's voice was soft as she spoke. She leaned back in to where she was before Lillie interrupted. Liam brought his hand up and cupped her cheek.

"Hi beautiful.." He half whispered. "I have a question I've been wanting to ask you the last couple of weeks. Would you, Callie, be my official girlfriend?"

Callie felt her cheeks get even more red as she bit her bottom lip. "Yes, Liam. I will officially be your girlfriend.."

As soon as the words left Callie's lips, she felt his lips brush against hers softly.
