“Papa! Look what Aoi-nee did to my hair!” You ran towards Dad showing him your braided hair with a big smile on your face. Aoi following behind you.
“Here are my girls!” You father smiled as he crouched down. You stopped in front of him as you hugged him.
“Wow, your hair is so pretty.” He complimented as he touched your hair.
“And look what she did to mine.” Aoi said making their father turn to her.
“What happened to yours?” He laughed as he pulled Aoi.
“Well, I don't know how to braid hairs so I messed up. Sorry!” You said with a cheeky smile.
Aoi pouted then she smiled as she pinched your chubby cheeks. “Fine, Fine! Stop being so cute!” She laughed.
You groaned but you lifted your hand as you pinched her cheeks back.
The both of you began to chase each other as your father watched the both of you fondly.
The both of you were so close before. But now. You can't even talk to each other, even if you pass by each other.
You sat across Aoi as you ate your food in silence. The both of you did. Since your mother was on a business trip the both of you were the only ones left. Or so you thought.
“Hey cousins!” It was Amanda's voice. She sauntered towards you as she sat on the chair right beside Aoi.
“Cous.” Aoi smiled greeting her. You only stayed silent, having no appetite when she arrived.
You stood up from your seat about to make your way out of the dining room. Amanda turned to you while Aoi just kept on eating silently.
“Hey cous! Didn't know you're already engage. Congratulations.” She said clapping her hands. I stopped in my tracks then I turned to glare at her.
“Shut up.” You coldly said then you proceeded to walk.
“How cold! By the way. Nice hair tie. Where'd you get that? Is that a gift from Souya?” She asked making you flinch but you just continued to walk towards your room.
Locking your door, You leaned on the door as you let out a sigh. You walked leisurely towards your bed. Pulling the hair tie down then you looked at the turquoise ribbon. It reminded you of his hair. It reminded you of Souya.
You plopped down the bed as you buried your face in the pillows. You lifted your head as you turned your body to face the ceiling.
You closed your eyes, imagining what life would be if your Dad was still with you. Aoi and you would be so close. You wouldn't have to be betrothed to someone against your will. He would've probably meet Souya. But all of that is nothing but impossible. And you ruined it. If only you didn't leave the house then maybe all of that would be possible.
“Up goes the ball..” You sang tossing the ball up. “Down goes the ball..” You continued to play with the pink barbie ball that Aoi gave you as a gift whilst walking at the front lawn of your house.
“Up goes the—”
“(Y/n)!” Aoi called, you turned your head to look at Aoi who was in front of the door. “Get inside! Dinner's ready!” She informed.
“Coming!” You replied. Aoi left the door open as she went inside. You kept on tossing the ball when suddenly, the kid from your neighborhood, Chad, hits the barbie ball with a baseball sending it far making gasp.
