she woke up. Her head was on the bed while she was sitting on the cold floor. After realisation hit her. A tear rolled down her tearstained face.
She searched for the body of her dad but the bed was empty. She was alone in the room. Warm and bright sunlight hitting her legs from the glass window.
It was sunny and bright outside. Good to start a happy new day but it wasn't a happy day instead it was the worst and saddest day ever for her.
Drops of salty water from her eyes landed on the floor which shined in the sunlight. It was the day of her father's funeral.
She took out her phone and look at the last conversation she had with her father. She looked at the last message she send was a heart emoji which was beating.
But her father's reply was 'I love you and I will always you, I will never leave you'. The emoji he send had a small and sweet smile.
She hugged the phone and laid against the bed in the room. She cried silently. All the memories with her father were playing in front of her eyes.
And a sudden question which popped in her head was 'How did this happen?'
How did her father died?
He never told her about any disease or problem. He was fit and fine so what happened that he died?
She stood up to search for the receptionist that she met yesterday. Because of the news she never wondered 'how did this happen?'
She was so weak that was not even able to stand. Not a single bite of food she had but this was not a problem for her.
She didn't even know she was hungry. She just wanted to know who did this to his dad. She marched towards the closed door of the room. She opened it and saw only a few people were there.
She walked towards the receptionist who was busy doing some work on the computer. Just the moment she saw y/n, she looked at the ground in guilt.
She stopped pressing the keys on the keyboards and her hands were on her sides. It was like her hands stopped working on their own.
She was not able to see in the eyes of y/n. She was just hearing the footsteps of y/n coming closer and closer. Her heart was beating very fast.
Suddenly, a question popped in her mind 'what if y/n was here to ask how her father died?'
This question filled her mind with some memories of the day on which y/n arrived. Before her arrival, a man came and...
Her eyes welled up. She can't do that. She just can't. The sound of footsteps stopped and she looked up to see y/n standing there.
She quickly looked down, not wanting to tell the lie. She just can't lie to her even if she want to. If she did, she will never be able to forgive herself, her whole life.
"H-Hello" y/n said to the receptionist.
"NO, I Can't" before y/n could say anything, the receptionist said out loud and her voice echoed through the corridor.
She looked up at confused y/n with wide eyes. Sweat was dripping from her face. She was sweaty.
She came to realise that y/n didn't even ask anything instead she was greeting her. Her jaw dropped.
Y/n was confused. "W-What?"
"Um...nothing, it's nothing. Just...just stress" the receptionist said. She was too sweaty. She was trying to give the best expression so that y/n would not suspect anything.
