She Returns

I walked back into the forest without a care in the world. I stayed in the forest until I had to go home, but I had the feeling of wanting to see her again. Coincidentally enough, she would keep coming back.

The next day she walked into my forest. She was in a blue dress today, skipping and humming a tune. What kind of crazy person walks into my forest and hums a sweet tune. I let her walk into my forest for a bit. She sat down on a fallen tree and seemed to be waiting for something. I slowly sneaked up behind her and jumped out at her.

"Rawwwrr!!!" I yelled out at her, grabbing her by her arms.

She jumps back and starts to cry. Poor girl, I had to calm her down though.

"Calm down, it's only me" I said laughing as I climbed over the tree to get to her.

She stopped crying and I stopped laughing and looked at her. She got up and wiped her tears away.

"So, why are you in my forest?" I asked as I started walking deeper into the forest.

It got darker and darker the deeper we went.

She followed me like a lost cat and said "well you seem lonely and I wanna play with you, also thanks for saving me yesterday." She doesn't seem to notice that we are in the middle of nowhere.

"I don't play with... humans," I said to her.

As I kept walking, we came to a clearing with a small stream around an island with a tree on it, my tree house. My treehouse is made of branches that I found held together by some ropes and vines. I still had some extra rope tied around a branch in case of emergency.

I pulled myself up into my tree house as I thought about the dog yesterday. Then I said "So... how do... you play?"

She looks up to me in my treehouse. "Why don't we play family?" She said "can you help me up there?"

I thought about letting her into my tree house for a second. "Sure," I said as I untied the rope off the branch and lowered it down to her, "hold onto the rope tight" I said.

She grips onto the rope as I tie a rock to my end of the rope. I threw the rock over a higher branch then jumped down with my end of the rope. With my weight and the rock, the rope pulls her up to my tree house. When she was off the rope, I started climbing my way up.

"Your tree house is so dirty" she said as I was trying to get up to my tree house.

When I got up to my tree house and tied my climbing rope back in its place, she had cleaned my tree house. All the leaves were moved to the edges and there was a soft feeling. A soft feeling that I never felt before, it was weird, but I liked it.

"Welcome home darling" she said and smiled at me with an innocent smile.

I felt my face burn up, "So... what are we... playing?" I asked her, not wanting to make eye contact with her.

"We are playing family, I'm your wife, dummy," she said to me. Her smile is so innocent, it makes me forget that she was human for a second.

She was sitting down. "So what do we do now?" I asked her as I sat down next to her and took Kento out.

"You go to work and I'll stay home and make dinner." She explained as she got up and looked for an easy way down. I help her down and she rushes out of the forest yelling back, "I will come back with something to eat."

I took Kento and went on my bug hunt. I was looking for a rare three prong rhino beetle. While walking I heard a baby bird chirping. I walked over and saw a baby bird had fallen out of it's nest. It didn't even have feathers yet. I picked it up and it tried to peck Kento.
