Somewhere in Heartland City:

It had been a couple of hours since Yuma went deck-to-deck in a duel with Cody Callus at the construction site to obtain his third heart piece of the tournament and also it been about two hour since Sakura duel with Joey to obtain her heart piece of the tournament

The trio that consist of Sakura, Yuma and Tori was seen hanging around in the park, after a busy day around Heartland City. The trio was standing over the concrete bench looking down at Yuma's golden heart-shaped frame and the two heart piece that won't fit. Meanwhile, the duo that consist of Astral and Anubis hover overhead, tilted to look straight down over their shoulders. 

However, Yuma would quickly discover a slight, minor problem regarding the heart pieces that he had collected this far in the World Duel Carnival

"Aw, man, this is just my luck! I get my third heart piece, and then, it won't fit!!"

Clawing his hair in frustration, Yuma let out a massive groan as he stand up from his spot. "Why me?! It's not like I swiped the thing, I won it, fair and square!!"

"I dunno what to say, Yuma, hearts have a funny shape." Tori said, before turning to face the aqua haired girl. "Sakura, if you will"

Sakura quickly nodded her head as she pops open a small holographic screen, which shows different shapes of heart piece and how they fit together into a heart frame

"Maybe the piece you have isn't the one you need to complete the puzzle. See, there could be tons of combinations." Tori explained as Sakura close the small holographic screen down 

"Tons?! So what're you saying, I might have to win a thousand pieces?!" Yuma exclaimed in disbelief, clearly not happy with the news as he as he held his uncompleted heart piece high up in the air. Sakura offer the pink and black hair boy a sympathetic smile as she place one of her hand on his shoulder, comforting him 

"Not to pile it on, but... heart pieces are not the only thing we're here to win, if you recall." Astral said as the celestial being reminded Yuma of what the quartet that consist of himself, Anubis, Sakura and Yuma was here for.

"Eheheh..."

"As you said, our main goal entering the Duel Carnival is to retrieve Number cards." Astral said as he try to urge the pink and black hair boy to find another opponent to face, probably one with a Number card in their hold. Since this is the reason why he and Yuma are participating in the tournament

"When did I say that?! I never said that!" He said as he angrily glares up at the celestial being with annoyance in his eyes as Sakura shake her head at him, whilst Anubis roll his eyes, before turning around to face the other way, like Anubis, the celestial being looks away, whilst ignoring Yuma rant , and as he see something off in the distance 

"I want heart pieces! I love heart pieces! I..." Yuma trailed off

Unbeknownst to them, an unknown figure was situated atop of a nearby building, getting ready to interrupt the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, with a blast from what appears to be a bulky cannon as the figure aimed the cannon straight toward them  

A holographic targeting system was see aiming straight at Yuma as he continue to rant 

"Target acquired. Goodbye, Yuma!" The figure said before firing a missile straight from the rocket launcher that was mounted on her shoulder...as the missile went straight toward them

The gasps that came out of the celestial being and the humanoid jackal mouths, alerted the trio of Yuma, Sakura and Tori of their upcoming doom as they all let out a gasp of their own
