At Heartland Museum:
A couple of more hours pass, since the majestic first day of the World Duel Carnival Preliminaries as Duelists from all over the world, tried their hardest to earn their spot for the second round of the WDC. After a busy day, twilight fall upon the peaceful metropolis as numerous streetlights and city light illuminate the darkness.
However, the peaceful atmosphere was ruined by the sound of multiple of alarms blaring off in the distance.
The cause of the disturbance was taking place at the Heartland Museum. Apparently, it was once again another robbery of one of it most valuable treasure....unlike the previous, failed attempt by two certain individuals ( mentioning no name), it seem like a new individual is close to succeed, if not without a few stepping stones in his way
Currently at the moment, the nearly-successful individual was one step closer to freedom with the most prize item in his possession. However, his attempt at freedom was put in jeopardy as a large spotlight, courtesy of the police below, stop him in his path.
Down below, one of the lead officer decided to communicate with the mysterious thief ( who was trapped atop of the museum) via megaphone.
"We've got you completely surrounded! Put your hands on the back of your head and get down on your knees."
The mysterious thief was a man in his mid to late twenties, with a tall built and pale skin. Complete with black hair and blue eyes that sparked hint of mischief, trouble and adventure in them. His attire consist of a greyish-brown fedora with a brown leather strap running around the base of the fedora, with a collared bright red shirt and black vest underneath his white suit jacket, which come with matching pant. He also wore a thick-woven bright orange poncho with brown and yellow diamond pattern that was embroidered into the material, which sported yellow tassels that he wore over his shoulder to halfway down his back, along with two belt and black shoes.
"Not gonna say please? Now that isn't very polite of you either." The culprit taunt the officers below, just before he close his eyes to block the blinding light that came off another helicopter as a couple of more police helicopters join the scene.
"And look at that, you called in the birdies...I had no idea you clowns who make such a fuss over a single card...." He mockingly said as with a quick swipe of his left hand ,he reveal the prize item that he stole as it appear inbetween his finger.... it was a Number card.
Out of nowhere, several of special ops come fast-roping down from either one of the helicopters as they proceed to surround the mysterious thief.
"Oh, how's it going fellas?" The culprit greeted the armored, uniformed force, but instead he was greeted by them activating their stun batons, that visibly crackle with green electricity. But with even the impending danger that he was putting himself in, the mysterious thief remained unafraid, untouchable and even a little bit cocky.
"Nice touch with the glowie sticks, but I'm pretty sure I got you beat"
And with that said and done, the mysterious thief hoist his arm up, with the Number card, high-up in the air....this was until the card unleash a cascade of bright glow that shine brighter than the spotlights to go berserk over the area.
