Midnight. Fire in Oikawa's Kingdom. Oikawa woke up and watched everything that surrounded him burn to the ground. He heard the screams of thousands - millions - and couldn't do anything to save them. He ran through the castle to see everyone slaughtered and blood covered the ground.

Hanamaki was nowhere to be found, and as he ran through the castle he started to panic, unable to find his parents or older sister. Oikawa reached the throne room only to find that his family had met the same fate as everyone else in the castle. Oikawa's eyes widened in both shock and grief, but he did not allow himself to mourn over their deaths just yet.

His Kingdom was dying, and as he was now technically King, he had a duty to uphold. Plus, there was still no sign of Hanamaki. Oikawa ran towards the castle door, grabbing a gun some extra bullets, and a guitar on the way out. It was weird to bring a guitar with him, he knows, but it meant something to him. Something important.

As soon as Oikawa reached the room that held the castle doors, he had to stop himself from collapsing on the spot. There, hanging from the ceiling, was Hanamaki, cuts and wounds covering his entire body. Underneath him was a pool of blood and a sword. Oikawa once again tore his gaze away from the bloody scene that he had been presented with, pushing away any emotion he felt.

A tear fell down his cheek as he tried to erase the image from his mind. Oikawa ran out of the building, grabbing Hanamaki's sword on the way out, grabbing Hanamaki's sword on his way out, knowing that everyone in the castle had been slaughtered. Why he had been left unscathed, he had no idea, but the fire did not let him forget. It burned itself into his mind and onto his body, not allowing him to forget the events of this night.

Oikawa scoured the streets, trying to find a single soul - someone who had survived this travesty. But he couldn't, only gaining burns rather than people. No one was around. Oikawa heard a gunshot and froze, slowly turning in its direction. He noticed a figure standing a house away from him, and out of instinct, he ran. He knew it was Iwaizumi - no one else would take things to these kinds of extremes.

But he had to find his people, whether that was dead or alive, which meant there was no point in him risking his life right now. Tears fell from Oikawa's eyes as he ran, but he did not allow himself to look back. He had turned his back on his Kingdom, and he did not deserve a second glance at the ashes.

Oikawa had stayed by his Kingdom and watched it burn to the ground, the screams of the people he could not find torturing him. But what could he do? How could he possibly fight against fire that great all by himself? He was just a single man. It was now the morning, and the fire was still blazing, everything he could see had been burnt to the ground. All that was left were the flames of destruction.

He walked through the streets, no longer caring about the flames or the scars he was receiving from them. In the flames, he saw the rubble of countless houses and the bodies of several people of different sizes, ages, ethnicities - everything. There was no mercy shown this time. They were his people.

And that's when the light in his eyes - the very thing that made Oikawa so approachable - disappeared with no intention of coming back. He lost it the moment his Kingdom fell and he knew he couldn't save it.

"I will not forgive you, Iwaizumi," Oikawa said, turning to the figure that had been following him around the streets, a fierce look in his eyes that matched the flames that had engulfed his Kingdom. "I will kill you and everything that has ever meant anything to you."

Iwaizumi burst out laughing and stepped forward, letting the light shine on him. "Says the guy who ran while he watched his Kingdom burn. Some Prince you are. And to think we had so much trouble beating you. But you let your guard down. You knew but did not warn them, inevitably killing them all. You were the downfall of your own Kingdom. How pitiful."

Oikawa growled, the flames dancing around them. Iwaizumi's eyes went to the sky, and he watched the clouds for a moment before continuing to speak. "You said you were going to kill me. You and what army?"

They met each other's gaze, neither of them wanting to back down. Oikawa managed to hold his ground, not wanting to give in to such a monster. Iwaizumi smirked, and the flames danced in his eyes. He really was the spawn of Satan.

"As much as I think you're a dumbass for abandoning your Kingdom, I respect you for having the strength to fight even after losing so much." Iwaizumi told him, his eyes glancing over Oikawa. "Name?"

"Oikawa the motherf!cking Tooru. And you?" Oikawa's eyes narrowed at the raven-haired male, who had a small smile on his face.

"Iwaizumi Hajime. But you already knew that." Iwaizumi replied

Oikawa rolled his eyes. "Whatever."

Iwaizumi started walking away, waving at the taller boy. "I'm sure I'll see you again, Oikawa the motherf!cking Tooru. I do have to kill you eventually, y'know?"

Oikawa grunted but watched him walk off. There was nothing he could do right now. Oikawa never properly grieved over his fallen Kingdom. He never allowed himself to grieve over a Kingdom that he had turned his back on.
