"You can no longer live in this Kingdom, Tooru." The King said

"Excuse me, what?" Oikawa stared at him, confused

"You heard me." The King narrowed his eyes at the brunette, who frowned in response.

"Why not?" Oikawa placed his hands on his hips

"I've given you time, I've let you see other suitors." The King seemed almost mad at him but managed to keep his cool. "I can no longer keep you here."

"But sir-" Oikawa went to protest, but the King held up his hand to silence him.

"No buts, Tooru. Iwaizumi, can you take him?" The King turned to Iwaizumi

"Nope, sorry 'bout that." Iwaizumi replied, slightly bowing.

The King frowned "Why not?"

"My father won't allow it. He'd kill Tooru the moment he laid eyes on his pretty face." Iwaizumi replied with a shrug

"If your father would not allow it then why did you make the proposal?" The King scolded him

"Because love makes you do crazy things sometimes." Iwaizumi's eyes settled on Oikawa for a bit before he turned his attention back to the King. "And anyway, we wouldn't have lived in my Kingdom."

"Where would you have lived then?" The King asked, an irritated look on his face.

"Idk, probably Ushijima's Kingdom." Iwaizumi replied with a small shrug

"I'm glad you have our future fully planned out, Iwa-chan," Oikawa said

"You should be, I worked my ass off for it." They both laughed, which only earned a glare from the King, and then they both stopped.

The King sighed and rubbed his temples "What am I going to do with you two?"

"Idk."

"No idea."

"Come back tomorrow with a plan for the future, and then we'll talk." The King told them, his eyes curiously hovering over Matsukawa.

"You're going to give me a single night to figure out what I want to do with myself and my life?" Oikawa huffed, crossing his arms in annoyance.

"You're 24, Tooru. You should already know." The King gave him a pointed look

"Mafia. There, done." Oikawa said it like he had just solved all his problems.

"No.  We've already had this conversation. You are not joining the mafia."

"Why not?"

"Because you're better than that."

"I'm really not."

"YOU ARE A PRINCE, TOORU."

"A PRINCE WITH NO KINGDOM. WHAT KIND OF PRINCE IS THAT? I HAVE NOTHING BUT SMOKE AND ASH. So don't you dare lecture me about being a prince. I lost that title when I watched my Kingdom burn and did not bother to save my people. I am no prince."

"Fine then. I'll give you a week to decide. No more travelling to Iwaizumi's Kingdom without anyone's knowledge. Koushi does not count."

Sugawara scowled "What do you mean I don't count?"

Oikawa rolled his eyes, ignoring Sugawara's comment, even though he was annoyed that Sugawara couldn't be his go-to man. "Fine. Is mafia still off the table?"

The King sighed "It can be a possibility."

"YES! Iwa, we're gonna be part of the mafia. And you're gonna be the leader. Keiji, Issei, you're coming too." He looked at Sawamura and Sugawara. "You two already have your lives sorted out, and I'm not allowed to ruin it."

"I'll ruin it for you," Sugawara said, giving him a considerate nod

"Thanks, Koushi."

"No problem."

"Anything else?"

"I have a guest for you." The King told him

"A guest?" Oikawa had a curious glint in his eyes as they all looked at the page, who opened the door, and Yua walked through. "Yua-chan!"

"Tooru-kun!" She exclaimed, giving him a closed eye smile.

"She's so pretty!" Sugawara exclaimed

"Isn't she just?!" Oikawa stopped for a moment as a sudden realisation hit him. He turned to the King, who had an amused look on his face as he watched Oikawa. "Wait a minute. Is she here as a distraction so you can teach me some sort of lesson at the end of this?"

There was a short pause before Oikawa got a response. "No..."

Oikawa pouted before turning to Yua and shrugging. "Who cares? I'm just glad you're here."

"It's nice to see you again, Tooru-kun. Are these your friends?" She looked at Sugawara and Sawamura, who smiled at her

"Sugawara Koushi. It's nice to finally meet you." Sugawara had a sparkle in his eyes as he introduced himself.

"It's nice to meet you too."

"Sawamura Daichi." He bowed and chuckled "It's a pleasure."

"The pleasure is mine."

"Daichi, you are taken, and he is gonna get hella jealous if you keep doing that to people." Sawamura scowled at Oikawa, who just smirked. "Alright, I'm sorry. I'll stop. Come on, Yua-chan. It's bonding time."

"Coming, Tooru-kun!" The group of friends walked out of the throne room and Oikawa smiled sadly to himself.

'You will no longer play a part in my future.' Oikawa thought as he watched them all laugh and joke together. 'I can't pretend forever, and I'm sorry. This might hurt you all. But I won't be alive to care.'
